Grand Master Yoda 55
Kazdan Paratus 55
Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Master 35
Quinlan Vos, Infiltrator 34
Senate Commando 20

if kazdan rolls a 5,10,15,20 for initiative you get 30 points of reserves. so can vos reroll that every round w/ recon, and double the chance for reserves? and then qui gon can reroll 5 times and double the chances from there? if that is correct, and assuming 10 rounds a game; 7 of which vos can see someone; using all 5 force points for anticaption; the odds are that u would get 30 points of reserves 6 times!? im guessing i didn't see something but this squad would be crazy good if this works

Yes, that would work. If you can keep them alive long enough.

Is it reserves of reinforcements that don't count as points - I can never remember!

It would work, just not very effectively.

No real shooter support or door controls can lead to serious problems. I would much prefer Zuckus rather then Qui-gon. Grand Master Yoda also does not work effectively with Kasdan as he only produces droids.

Plus Kazdan and Yoda won't make their points back as fighters as the former is pretty weak and the latter is not that strong offensively as he will not be able to set up the condictions for his Master ability. Which means the reserves and the Senate Commando must make back 180 points worth of figures. To be honest, I would much prefer to keep reserves squads to much larger games. Like 300 points.

It could probably deadly if left long enough, but as reserves counts as additional points, chances are they could lose the overall game and still win with points just by killing the units produced.

Reinforcements do not count towards victory points.

Reserves do. So don't think they are free! Wink

Yeah, "will it work" as in "is this legal," well, the answer is yes. "Will it work" as in "will this win me games," not so much. You new pieces come in piecemeal, you're playing Republic so you don't have excellent CEs for them like GGDAC, and if Kazdan dies (which is likely seeing as how is is the entire point of the squad) then what you have left is kind of rubbish.

If you want to use that concept, I would recommend scrapping Yoda, the commando, and Quinlin Vos. Get your recon with an ARF trooper (which is cheaper and still has stealth). Add Gha Nachkt so your droids are cheaper (you can bring in a lancer that way!). Then I would go for pieces like CLobot, Mon Mothma, and maybe even Supreme Chancellor Palpatine, so you have EVEN MORE rolls that bring in good stuff. Plus Palps can get in front and annoy people, and Mon Mothma will boost any living pieces you bring in as reserves.

I like this squad, but I'd probably replace the Senate Commando with Lobot, Computer Liason Officer for door control and added Reserves. It also frees up a little bit of points for an activation or two.

Yeah Lobot CLO is a good add, also add in Supreme Chancelor Palpatine for mo0re added reserves, plus bodyguard. You could also take out Quinlan for a few arf troopers and r2, you still have the recon, and some more ranged support.

one otther thing, how the rerolling would work is you roll 2x for initiative (Recon) and spend a force point for anticipation and reroll both.

It would be a fun combo to play . Not much shooter support, but Init would be the funnest part of the game.

So take out Yoda and Quinlan Vos and put in Lobot, Computer Liason Officer and Supreme Chancellor Palpatine plus shooters and an R7 Astro droid, then you've got yourself a nice squad...........

Kazdan goes well with Zuckuss. Especially if you haunt Zuck with Anakin FS. I have also gone up against those guys along with a Monnock and Houjyx which help a lot. Then bringing in IG86s and a BDO is good for reserves.
