Just finished "The Starkiller" concept art piece! Let me know what you think. Stats are forthcoming. The pics ended up being a little darker than I wanted, or than the fig is.

I honestly haven't given the stats any serious thought up to this point. I'll totally keep it in mind though! Especially since he's WEARING a breath mask...

For the curious, the original figure is a GenoHaradan Assassin. I added the pack from a Republic Commando Training Sergeant, green stuff for the mask and tubing, repositioned his head and arms, trimmed some of the plastic off around the bottom of the legs to make them smooth, and removed his sword. After that, add a lightsaber and a quick paint job and your good to go!

(Side note: the pictures turned out darker than the actual figure. I tried tooling around with it in Photoshop, but couldn't get the picture to brighten up without polluting the rest of the image.)

Looks awesome!

But why did you use a blue lightsaber instead of yellow?

Simple, don't have any yellow. I only have blue, green, and orange; and I like blue better anyway. ;)

So do I! I wish I could scrape enough together to build the Vader in this piece of art. That would be sweet. I might even shed a single man tear if I got the chance.

Not sure what you mean, I just superglue the thing on. I know some people get a little more fancy and drill a small hole with a pin vice, whittle the connecting end so it fits the hole, then glue it in. That is probably the smarter idea, it makes the saber less likely to come off, but as I don't own a pin vice, I'm SOL on that plan.

Pin vice, or "hobby drills" as Games Workshop calls them, aren't terribly expensive. Usually around $15, I just never happen to have an extra 15 laying about to buy one.

I appreciate it! I've been wanting a nice piece for a game. I'd make it a little differently next time

Seriously amazing, dude.

I played Luke Starkiller as the first character in the Saga Edition RPG when it came out a few years back. Though I have had many characters in Saga since, I still consider him as my favorite. This would have been perfect for that game.

If you ever decide to use him again, if he hasn't died that is, this fig isn't terribly hard to make. I give a quick run down of what I did earlier in the most. Literally takes an hour or so, when you know what you're doing. The longest part of the whole thing is waiting for the green-stuff to set.

I am ready for that run-down :)

[I have my genoharadan and republic commando training sergeant, as well as my modding stuff. I am looking for a yellow lightsaber (though i might just use a blue one)]

This is pretty much it really, one of the easier conversions I've done actually. Most of the piece is making the correct colors to paint him. Other than that, it's some repositioning, glueing, and trimming. If you have any terribly specific questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them.

I'd probably go for a more dynamic pose if I made another one, he's kind of boring. After having torn apart a Training Sarge to build the Jedi Master from the TOR 'Deceived' trailer, however, I'm pretty much done with putting that much work into something I'll rarely, if ever, use. Looks sweet though, and I'll actually get to finish it after the semester is over!

Well, this is how it looked after my green stuff (I didn't reposition anything other than his hand, cause I have a bad track record with superglue

Then I waited until the greenstuff dried and painted (much more vibrant than what your pictures looked like

If you finished that in under an hour, you are amazingly epic, and I bow to your abilities as the master. (it took a few hours for the green stuff to set)

Nevertheless, It was only a couple of sit downs, and I totally finished it [and a couple of repairs I had to do for a while] in one night.
