Hi Folks! Weekly point formats for Monday tournaments TBA... see belowLocation: Castle Perilous Games & Books 207 W. Main Carbondale, IL 62901 (618) 529-5317 1-800-297-2160 ************************* Monday, July 5th: Cost: $5 Start: 6:30pm “Your-Favorite-Set Booster Draft” Special rules: 125pts, no faction restrictions. DCI rules apply. ALL OF THE PIECES IN YOUR SQUAD MUST BE FROM THE SAME SET, BUT IT CAN BE FROM ANY SET YOU WANT. So if you want to play 125pts of Rebel Storm, and everyone else wants to play Dark Times, that’s fine. Also, before anyone asks, this means if it isn’t on the set list for a 60 or 40 figure set, it CANNOT be in your squad (Lancer, Map pack Anakin, Asajj, Luminara, and Clone Trooper on Speeder and a number of other pieces are restricted by this). Yes, this is a constructed format, so no, you don’t have to show up and buy a couple boosters to compete, though I'm sure Scott wont mind if you do. So make sure to come out and play! -Seth (disturbed1) ************************* Monday, July 12th 200 points - DCI rules Cost: $5 Start: 6:30pm ************************* Monday, July 19th 1 piece from each of the 10 factions 300 points max no reserves/reinforcements otherwise, normal rules apply ************************* Monday, July 26th

Hope to see you guys soon. Always great to see you guys. I really enjoy playing Matt, who is generous enough to point out my strategic brain-farts in real-time even when I have the upper hand in the game. Next week is a straight 200-point constructed. I'll be updating the schedule soon...

Oh man that game was awesome. I haven't seen a game come down to so many lucky die rolls I guess a brief play-by-play is in order. The game came down to my Darth Malak vs Lobot and 3 mouse droids. One would think that the game was over. However, Kieth gets off an 11 and brings in Dash. I had been seeing him sitting to the side all night. I knew if he came into play things were going to get bad. I was down to 60 hps. Dash is placed just out of range for me to base or even do some lightning. So I do what any good Sith lord in a situation like this would do: I ran We had figured out I only needed one more gambit to win. I killed Lobot and took off. Dash hit me for another 40. I'm down to 20. I make it around a corner out of range. So he puts Dash into pursuit. The next round it comes down to an initiative. If I win I am able to get into gambit and he will not get a shot off ending the game. However, he wins initiative and is able to go first and unload on me. He still needs 18's just to hit me and has to do it twice since he doesn't have opportunist. Kieth starts rolling: miss, miss, 20---game over. It was tons of fun for sure. I took off work for the 26th. We are leaving for vacation that week so I extended my time off a day so I could play

Hehe, sounds like a crazy game. Thanks for the report since I wasn't watching you guys play. The highlight for me was making 4 consecutive Dispassionate Killer saves with Dass in my game against Matt Hilden. Kind of made up for Dass getting killed before even making an attack in my first game.

Looking forward to the tournament tonight. This format was definitely a challenge. Still have no clue what I'm playing yet.

I'm really looking forward to playing my squad. I think it will do quite well, though it is impossible to predict what kinds of craziness will show up to nerf it. I have 2 characters that can do 240 damage each on the move, and a lot of attacks from the rest as well. I was thinking this is a great format for Mandalore the Ultimate, but I decided to not go that route.

I'm down to two different squads with 2 variants of one of them. The hallmark of both is massive damage output but we'll see how they do when we play tonight.

Congrats to Matt (tx3252) on winning the all-10-faction tournament. Your squad was brutal. We had a good matchup. I need to be a lot more careful when I'm playing you. Updated for 7/26 125 points - one single species - no faction rules humans, clones and droids are not allowed
