So the Target Liquidation sale is going on, but what happens when Wizards has no more spare minis to keep in stock? Will they still be making them, but no new sets? Have they given up the game completely? Most importantly (to me) is anyone still going to make them?

I'm hoping they'll put out more boosters of the older sets, like Champions of the Force, or Revenge of the Sith. Now that would be awesome....

Once the stock runs dry, that will be it. WotC will not and can not produce any more.
In fact, at this point, WotC has no more SWM product whatsoever. It's all been sold to stores and wholesale distributors.
As for new stuff, we will have the virtual sets, which will use existing minis, but have a new, alternate sets of stats for them.

One of the two game store's in my area still get's RotS in from time to time. But they haven't seen CotF in a LONG time. When they have gotten them in stock in the past they charge $5 more per booster pack. I think we shouldn't have too much of a problem buying from online distributors. And I know my 2 local game store's will continue to carry SW mini product. Because I asked both store owners about that. In my opinion it will take a little while before we start having a hard time finding mini's to purchase. Now I could be wrong, but I'm not too worried about it to be honest with you. We should be ok for a while. There is a lot of stock out there. Maybe not so much with the older sets. But the newer ones shouldn't be too hard to find.

Clone Strike would also be cool (to the above discussion).

Found a CotF booster a couple weeks back at Borders and had a 40% off coupon for it, but it ended up that it was defective, as it had 6 commons and 1 uncommon in it. So I returned it for a KotOR booster. A shame I can't find more CotF boosters, it's a great set!

WotC already sold all of their product, and they are not licensed to make more - so nothing new will come from them ever for SWMs. All product that is unsold is currently in the hands of distributors, Target, and whatever stock game stores still have. It will run out fairly soon in many of those places.

You'll notice on both ebay and here, many people are selling off their collections. That also adds to the available stock of pieces.

For the next 2 years, collections will be on EBAY. After that, the single sellers will be the only source for minis (if you have not bought your fill by then).
