Or are mandalorians sickeningly good???

Average review of their pieces is 7.28.

Not only are most of their pieces usable, it seems like ANY of them benefit from ANY commander effect.

AND you can have people like canderous 6 attacks 30 dmg each, scout 20 dmg, cloaked 4 Greater Mobile attacks, etc etc relatively cheaply.

Lol, my first Mandos were Mandalore the Indomitable and a Mandalorian Commander. They owned up in 100 for a while, before my friends' collections got better ( as well as mine).

I LOVE MANDOS, my favorite squad to run is:
--Boba's Mandos--
57 Boba Fett, Mercenary Commander
26 Mandalorian Quartermaster
23 Mandalorian Captain
76 Mandalorian Scout x4
9 Mouse Droid x3
9 Ugnaught Demolitionist x3

(200pts. 13 activations)
but i really want a mandalore the ultimate to try and run, cause he seems pretty awesome.

Mandos are good, very good, but the only reason they're not played much competitively is because they have no melee pieces, which means no IG-Lancer defenses, which will hurt with a clever Seps player.

the more impounding reason is that they have no tempo control; and all their pieces pretty much cost more than 10 points (except the taung warrior) so they're most likely to be out-activated, and usually therefore, outclassed. once they get tempo control though, they'll probabaly be played MUCH more.
