Are attacks of opportunity provoked when a character moves through the extended melee squares of an enemy? For example, If someone moved into a square three away from Lumiya, then left it, would Lumiya get an attack of opportunity?

Melee Reach only works on the characters turn, so no.

Just to add in a helpful reminder, don't forget that when a character uses MR, they count as being adjacent to their target for ALL purposes. So if you use MR and kill someone with Self-Destruct, the attacking character (and anyone else adjacent) takes damage. Characters can also use Riposte & Djem So against other characters using MR against them.
