George Lucas revealed That during Season 3, there will be 4 episode arc concerning Ventress and her fall from grace with Count Dookoo. She goes to her home planet and finds Darth MAul's Brother, who she believes might make a great apprentice to Dookoo.

As a casual fan of Clone Wars, watching most of the episodes when they come out, I have not been too exited about how things have been going .. Just to be honest..
But when they showed the scenes from this episode arc. It got me fired up!! Describing it does not do it justice. I think Most of us felt that Darth MAul didn't get the screen time he deserved in EP I. This may be GL's way of making up for a little of that. It really was something to see!!
If you saw that clip, What Did You Think?????Love

Ya, The OLe GL!!. Actually I wasn't expecting the interview to be better then Mark Hamill's but It was awesome! At the end of course, with Lucas , Steward, and Hamill already on stage, they invited Carrie Fisher up.. That turned out to be pretty funny because she said some inappropriate things.., at least considering that GL was so concerned about children in the audience and it being a kid friendly show.. Led to some very akward moments. It was Great!!!BigGrin

She asked Lucas something to the effect of "Where are the nude scenes? Yeah I had a porn scene with Jabba" lol

I am pretty excited about this season. The clip was pretty cool. As much as I enjoyed season 2, it didn't exactly live up to the promise of Rise of the Bounty Hunters. And it looks like Asajj returns in a big way. And Dooku gets a good amount of screen time. And Savaage Oppress looks like an interesting character. Man, I want these in minis form. (cries)

Yes, Assajj has an important role in Season 3 ! apparently she falls out of favor with Dookoo. One thing I am confused about... The Latest Clone wars visual encyclopedia lists Ventris's homeworld as unknown. I believe that it is commonly known that she is from Rattattack. Ohh well. But the episodes look pretty intiguieng.

Also on the Carrie Fischer thing, It was interesting because Lucas had just elaborated on how he was very concerned about how ESB would effect young ones' minds. He had hired some psychologists to see if Luke's getting his hand cut off, Han being frozen in carbonite, And Vader proclaiming that he was Luke's Father.. Would effect young ones menal state.. This showed his concern for young ones... Now this was a family show, with many young ones in the audience, And here comes Carrie Fischer , and the first thing out of her mouth is something like, " Hey George, when are you going to Release the JAbba Porn with the dancers having some sex orgy??(or something like that).. That drove me to Drug use"... It was absolutely comical to watch Jon Steward, George Lucas, and Mark Hammill squirm in their seats.. truly an awkward moment. They didn't let Carrie say anything else. She is a WILD CARD!!!

Umm...I don't think it's ever been implied that Asajj was from Ratatak. That's just where the Arena from the first Tartovsky Clone Wars was located, where Dooku was testing out all his potential apprentices. I think Asajj just showed up there, I don't necessarily know that she originated there.

Being a Nightsister would actually kind of make sense. I'm definitely excited to see them added to the show. Hopefully we'll see some Nightsister on Rancor action. :)

Re: Carrie Fisher, I thought her bit was pretty hilarious, but of course I was watching it in my office with no children present, and I've always really liked her in plenty of stuff beyond Star Wars (When Harry Met Sally, Hannah and Her Sisters, the stuff on 30 Rock, etc). And, I mean, they had to know what they were getting themselves into when they brought her up on stage--have you seen the speech she gave roasting Lucas when he received an AFI award?

More spoilers from the GL / Dave Filoni interviews at C5:

Baron Papanoida and his family (meant to represent Lucas' kids) are in the upcoming season and he gets dome double-pistol shooting action. When asked if the Lucas family did the voices, the answer was "it was discussed"

Lucas' daughter is writing a lot of the upcoming episodes

Cad Bane gets into a lightsaber duel with Obi-Wan

Filoni referred to Asajj's trip to Dathomir as a "homecoming" (hmmm...)

Filoni hinted that Asajj starts to outgrow her role as assassin and might have to be removed, thus opening the door for Dooku's new apprentice

There was a hint that the witches of Dathomir may have a strong connection to the Zabrak species, especially dominance over the males. (I may be reading a bit more into the cryptic comments, but we'll see)

Shaak Ti now appears since they did not want to cause any confusion with Ahsoka among the kids. Kamino gets written in as they have the resources to now do water and rain.

When asked if Hoth or Endor would appear, Filoni said they are too far out of the galaxy and meant to be little-known which is why the Rebels and Imperials went there and probably won't appear. He added that there is a connection to the OT that is even better.

Expect a move away from the main characters throughout the season - Filoni originally did not even want Anakin or Obi-Wan in the series. But, all characters will change dramatically in personality by the end of the season, especially Ahsoka.

When asked if there was a theme of Season 3 (like the Bounty Hunters), the answer was pretty much no, but lots of story-telling episodes and character development. Everyone likes the bad guys and the Seps have been getting beaten too often, so expect that to change a bit.

Kamino will be a multi-episode arc. Ahsoka begins to learn a lot more from Anakin, has some dark dreams, and becomes a better lightsaber duelist.

Dooku has an awesome lightsaber fight in the middle of the night while attacked by three cloaked Jedi. He gets to battle in his PJs!

ARC troopers, Delta Squad, Shaak Ti, Sateen, Death Watch, Ziro the Hutt, bounty hunter Embo and Aurra Sing all have scenes. Clone Echo has a brief scene in the preview and one kid asked about Boil and Watcher and Filoni answered that sure, he'll make some calls and try to get them in the season. I though that was pretty cool.

It was very reassuring to hear Dave FIloni talk as a huge fan of the movies, quoting lines and knowing all the obscure references of people and places, and putting his fandom first not to disappoint the audience. They have been a bit limited the first two seasons with technology and time, but have found many new 'shortcuts and cheats' to make things work and start to tell the stories they really want to. Whether you are a fan of the series or not, I think things are going to pick up in a hurry and I'm excited for 9/17/10.

Well I checked some old comics and found a direct reference to Ventress being from Rattattack. The New Complete Star Wars Encyclopedia confirms this.

WOOT!! Could definitely tell from the latest trailer that it was RCs in the back of the LAAT/i in the one quick shot, but I wasn't sure if it was Delta or not. That's freakin awesome.

Yeah, I watched the commando part twice just to take in all of the awesomness! One commado had what looked like Green markings...Fixer perhaps. Hopefully they get an episode kind of like Rookies?

Did I see ARC troopers in the trailer as well (Red striped armor on Geonosis with two pistols towards the middle)? If so, how are they going to reconcile Rex not being an ARC with those who wear the same armor but are?

Wonder if they are going to borrow from "The Defense of Kamino" comic and introduce ARCs that way.

In a trailer shown on Thursday of Celebration, Delta Squad definitely steps off the back of the ship. They meet with Stass Allie, Obi-Wan, Saesee Tiin and Plo Koon and report that some group of clones and their Jedi were wiped out on some planet (forget the name). They are trying to figure out what was so brutal (maybe a Sith Lord) but leave it vague enough that some other evil may be introduced. But the four members of Delta squad have plenty of air time in the light that it is definitely them. It was actually quite funny since they spent a lot of time talking about how they were able to render rain this season digitally and make it work for the stories. He then prefaced the clip that is was on Kamino and watch for the detail of the rain. Then, of course, Delta Squad shows up to a great deal of applause. After the clip, he joked about forgetting those guys were in there, too - but what great rain!

OK, I found it. It's dark and the sound is bad, but the clip was up here (until LFL takes it down): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o87Znlo7MI

@Wampafang - ARCs are definitely in Season 3, but I did not hear (or remember) any info on how they were working them into the stories. There was some question about the 2D cartoons and will they be portrayed like that. Filoni said something about that series being more of an interpretation of the clone wars and the current series is more hands on by Lucas. Some would disagree when Lucas dabbles in changing other EU stories to fit his current thoughts, but he is the creator of that galaxy. Filoni made it pretty clear that he makes every effort to consolidate any discrepancies with the previously established EU stories. I would not be surprised if he throws in some explanation or another.
