Well, I have 325 minis at the moment ( with 4 more VRs waiting for me in the post), including about 100 doubles. I reckon I'll definitely need a lot more, because every time I get new minis, I need more to make those minis worth playing. I'm looking to hopefully get more of the 'lesser' factions, such as OR and Vong. It's just so hard convincing my parents that 2 Vaders aren't enough, and that $8.50 is dirt cheap for a Doombot.....

 I have 96.5% of SWM so that's good.  I only want Han, scoundrel, Chewie ,scout, Boba merk, and all the storm commandos I can eat.  the rest of my want list is more like "that may be cool " kind of minis, not ones I'd use often.

I certainly do not need any more, so I am satisfied with what I have. I'm sure I will pick up stray boosters now and again for the fun of opening them. If the case price is right, I might get tempted.

I've only really just started in the last few months. I'm trying to restrict myself to useful Republic and Fringe pieces that aren't too excessively priced, but even then, there are lots of things to still get - I'm interested in getting a Qui-Gon Jinn Jedi Trainer squad, and a Gungan Artillerist squad, and I'm hoping to track down a cheap Captain Rex sometime.

I only need 3 (4 in you count the At AT) although there are a lot of minis i would like more of such as the clone strike destroyer droid.
I would like to get the last 3 to compleate the sets, but still even then i well still be disappointed that so many characters never got made, The vsets will help a little in that area but even then with no actual mini it not quite the same. At lest from a game point the vsets will help give more options to those lesser factions.

i still need the ATAT and a ganner. naga sadow would also complete my sith but i wont be using him anytime soon. other than that i've got my smaller factions complete and a healthy grouping of fringers. i feel pretty good about my stuff. the VSets will definitely add some nice mix to my existing squads.

I have pretty much everything that I want. I'm looking for about half a dozen pieces, mostly for customs or because I like doubles of each unique that can be in a different faction (need another Malak DLotS for the Old Rep).
My only real lack of satisfaction is that I don't have the time or talent to make all the customs that I want!

I could stop today if need be, since I have completed the sets. I am now just building up armies and collecting a small second set for my kiddos to use and play with until they are old enough to take care of them well. Then I'll let them use the good china.

I only have a few pieces that aren't represented by another unique somewhere else in my collection.
Dannik Jerrico, Scout trooper on speeder, rebel commando on speeder, AT-RT, etcetera.
Then I only have about twice that many that are already uniques in my collection.
Luke JK, Vader SL, Vader LotF, Boba BH, Jabba (RS), Mace JM, Padme (CS), Quinlan (CS), Anakin (CS), Grievous JH, Count Dooku, etcetera.
THen I have about 2 dozen Huges that I need.
The first 2 groups steadily grow smaller, and I keep wondering If I will ever try to buy the huge amount of huges that I need.
I would hate to transport them, but it keeps becoming more and more likely that I will.

I believe I figured out that I officially have 47 to go, although realistically there's like ten I really want, and the rest I can take or leave. I mean, given that I've been collecting from the start, if I really wanted to have Tamtel Skreej or a Rampaging Wampa, I probably would by now.

Im pretty happy with where it is but there is room for a lot more. when i buy a new booster and open it and add the minis to my collection I always sing, come join our circle of friends, theres always room for one more. our circle that never ends, all you to is open up the door.
