I'm confused regarding the split of the gamer community. The other thread said that Darth Jak was doing some pretty pig-headed stuff, but what was the background for the argument? In short, what happened? Why should the rest of the community on Bloomilk be treated awfully for something a moron did? (At least, if the other thread had the right info).

he wasn't the only issue but more like the straw that broke the camel's back...there have been problems for about the last two years...and the info is still on other websites...Gamers, holocron, etc and the radio show

How can I get my account activated on Gamers then?
(Dean seams a tad BIT over-sensitive. Both sides are at fault.)

When he is the one getting the major shaft most of the time from people here (not all people) he kind of got tired of dealing with it, thats as much as I' willing to discuss it you can ask him about it.

What's done is done. Things have been done to prevent what happened from happening again. At this point, hashing out who is at fault does not help. As with all the big fallouts, the community will just have to learn to eventually move on from this incident.

If you want to see the spoilers on Gamers, then you must register. You cannot see the spoilers if you are not logged in.

Quite honestly, I'd like to see all public discussion on the forums about this whole incident dropped. It was blown way out of proportion, but now it is done and over with, and continuing to talk about it isn't going to change anything. I don't necessarily agree with what happened to cause the incident, and I think everybody who commented on the issue who didn't know anything about the basic background of the conflict just jumped on board and saw it as an opportunity to take sides in a huge argument and try to act like they knew what was going on, when in reality they didn't. Everybody, including the two who caused this whole debacle, in my opinion, greatly overreacted, and now look at what has happened. I'm not solely blaming those two; anyone who wanted to "get in on the action" and decided to start throwing verbal punches is at fault, and quite frankly I'm sick of hearing about this stupid thing.
I swear, if I see one more thread started about this incident........ I don't even know. Oh, and for all you overly-sensitive folk out there, this is not a threat in any way, shape, or form; I'm just sick of this whole thing.

I am disappointed in the whole thing. SW minis is in bad enough shape as it is.
It is important to "advertise" as much as possible the V sets to maintain interest in the game.
I would hope we would all work together to promote the game. May be we can in the future.
Juice man, yes Deans site is free to register, but it is much more difficult to navigate and use than this site. Dean has been told this previously and alludes to it in his posts. He is likely too busy to devote time to improving his site. And we all, let me emphasize ALL, appreciate what he has done and is doing for the game.

I understand it's difficult to travel (I'm a Mod there and I have problems) but most people just use the View New Posts and do it that. Dean tried to reassemble the order of forums awhile ago but I still feel it didn't help out too much.

Gamers has many separate forums, and subforums within those. It takes some time to get familiar with where things are.
As Jedispyder noted, the shortcuts such as "view new posts" or "view active topics" are very helpful. They are located near the top right above the forum listings.
Also, making use of the "breadcrumb" forum heading links near the top left is a good way to navigate in the deeper levels of the forums.

FOr the Most part i have been an avid BLoomilk and WOTC user of their forums since i got an account. I have found Gamers site more difficult as was said above. BUt i have started to migrate over their more often, since the wotc site is becoming more useless. This is not to put the Gamers site down, infact i encourage all of you to go and visit their site also. Maybe eventually the problems of the Past Will resolve themselves and we may eventually be able to use the Vsets on this site.

I don't see any problem with Gamers; it's just a little different, that's all.

I joined Gamers maybe even before I joined Bloomilk when I was still brand new and floundering about for information about minis. I find it hard to find the time to actively be involved in 2 forums and as this one appeared to have more traffic I tended to shift my attentions here more. But, now I am making more of an effort with both. If everyone had an account on both sites then I feel this rift wouldn't be half so bad.

At first, I found it a little tricky to navigate, but now I find its as simple as here. A lot of very good and highly informed discussion about the state of SWM and where we need to be looking to in the future happens there. To be honest (and this is not directed at anyone) I think gamers is a friendlier place to post. I love both sites for different reasons.

And why sir do you think that is, especially when a member of the gamer's community is involved in one of the dramatic disputes that occurs over here on bloomilk a fair portion of the time? Could it be that most of the people with differing opinions than those of the gamer's community simply don't go on the gamers site, because they know their opinions would not be welcome and simply don't wish to stir up trouble? At gamers, you have to sign up for an account, get approved, and have your first posts approved. Granted, the guys over there have a logical reason for doing so, but still its alot of security and a little bit of hassle just to begin posting over on that site and viewing material posted over there. So why would a member of the "community" go through that trouble just to be able to view material and post on a site where they know they wouldn't be welcome? On bloomilk, its easier to get an account and the community is (from my admittedly limited experience) more diverse in its members than gamers (most gamers members also post or have accounts here, but the reverse is hardly true) so, of course you're gonna see more arguments over here. That being said, I will point out again that a prominent or loyal Gamer's member, from what I've seen, tends to be involved in a fair portion of the baiting, combative arguments that occur on this site. Just reference the past few days for examples. So to characterize the forums over here on bloomilk as being "less friendly" than the forums over on gamers is inaccurate to say the least. Frankly, comments like that are the kind that plant the seeds of the kind of drama we've seen over the past several days. Why even compare the two as they are vastly different sites with different things to offer their community members? Gamers and bloomilk are DIFFERENT. Let's just leave it at that and go about our lives. EDIT: It also might be a good idea to lock this thread so such an argument does not reoccur.....it feels to me like rehashing what happened is only begging to stir up trouble and begin the whole "us" vs "them" argument again.
