Just another one of my many questions...
If I have on my squad a Diplomat and a figure with Cloaked who is in cover, and an enemy has a clear LOS to both figures, does the Diplomat SA still apply and the enemy has no legal targets (because the other figure has cloaked), or does the fact that the other figure that the enemy has an LOS to has Cloaked change things? What about in the same situation, except instead of Cloaked the figure has Stealth (still has cover, and enemy is more than six squares away)? I think Cloaked/Stealth don't change anything here, but I just want to make sure.

If you are more than 6 squares away from the enemy and use the Diplomat to grant another character Stealth, then without Accurate Shot or Sniper neither is a target. If the character with Stealth has Super Stealth or Cloaked and is granted cover only by the Diplomat, the only way to target that character is through Sniper. The Diplomat is not a legal target in either instance.

I'm not using the Diplomat to "grant" anybody Stealth, or Cover, or anything else. I'm asking if an enemy has an LOS Diplomat and a character with Cloaked (with cover from a low object), the enemy cannot attack either target, correct? Like I said, I think this is the case, but I'm not sure.

Neither are legal targets.

The answer for the second post is correct only if just normal attack's targeting without any SA support or using Force Powers which ignores cover.
Jedispyder's comment is based on different situation because you didn't said the Cloaked/Stealth character gets the cover form low object at the first place.

Sorry to resurrect my own thread, but I just came across a similar situation to the one resolved above that I was unsure of.
Say I have two characters, one with Invisibility (Chameleon Droid) and one without any sort of special "cover" SA that affects targeting (Mouse Droid), and my opponent has a character without Sniper or Accurate (Clone Trooper). The Chameleon is providing cover for the Mouse. Now, in order to attack a character with cover, the target character has to be the nearest enemy. Because the Mouse is not the nearest enemy for the Clone, and the Clone is not adjacent to either of my characters and lacks Sniper and Accurate, does my opponent have a legal target (i.e. can he attack the character in cover), or can he not attack either?

From the glossary:
This character can be targeted only by attacks from adjacent characters. It never counts as the nearest enemy.
So the Mouse Droid is a target, but it does get cover.
