Yeah, and it looks like they exported them for screen resolution instead of print resolution. They're very hard to read and don't blow up well at all.
In general, I didn't think the selection of figures was all that exciting, and some of their design choices seem odd. For instance, the ability "Help be Obi-Wan Kenobi" is unable to bring in any version Obi-Wan Kenobi, even the new one they created for the set!
Some of the other changes seem so minor that I'm not really sure it was worth the effort, such as a Rebel Pilot whose main difference from the official version is +1 defense.
Antarian Leader and Jet Trooper both look like potentially useful figures, and I always like more droid options for the Seps.
On the whole, I'd probably print up a set of these cards and stick them in my box to try out. However, these aren't print quality, so that's not going to happen.

I agree with some of the SA's you mention and some the characters for the most part disappointing.
I have printed them off on HQ photo paper. I put the size up to 98% and they printed off OK. Better than on screen anyway.
Not sure if my group will use them, as some are OK other are not and not sure as a group we would use half a set.
Anyway At the moment I am play testing SWGamers VSet so even if I did use them it would not be for some time.
Rebel Pilot and Rebel Twi'lek spy are totally useless as they have the same name as existing characters with just a +1 added to attack as you say. so as far as i am concerned these cannot be used at all. However there are some really well thought out ones as well in there as well. shame the group did not put a little more thought into the whole set.

I liked the Imperial Bounty Hunter SA.
I also think there is some sort of story behind the Corran Horn force spirit that I'm not familar with...

From the note at the bottom of the Corran Horn card it seems that there was a forum member going by the handle Corran Horn that passed away so this card was a dedication to him. While I do like that idea, I don't like that they changed Light Spirit. They should have renamed it or something so it isn't confusing, as well as defining what Absorb Energy is.

Yeah, that's what I figured from the flavor text, and I agree that it would have been better to create a new SA that granted Absorb Energy than including it in an already exsisting ability.

I post on the German forums because I am moving out there and wanted to find a play group. It seems to me that these cards will be able to be used at official tournaments.
I love that they are doing this, but it will be confusing having 2 V'sets to keep up with, and I am not sure how widespread the Gamers V-set will be used over there. I guess only time will tell.
I love the idea of giving relay orders to a person, and also having basically a flying mouse droid.

Those are the only links so far. If there is another format released I'll post it.
Thank you Dreatech for putting it up here. I only mentioned it on Gamers because the European thing came up. Have been swamped with revision - final law exam this Monday so very busy and really shouldn't be reading or posting :)
Corran Horn was a member and he died earlier this year. His wife logged on his account to tell everyone and is keeping his minis until his son is old enough to play. That should be cool for him, seeing his Dad "immortalised" in a mini.
Some great ideas and also some not very needed ones. The almost copy stats were a shame. But on the whole it was a good effort I think and it will be interesting to see the other sets that come out.
They are hoping to do three a year so watch this space!
I'm glad I have lots of ASN Droids already, watch out opponents!

CerousMutor wrote:Do we have another link or pics? I get asked to download a video converter when I click on it. You're clicking the wrong link. Don't click the big one that says "Download Now" (that's a trick spam people use for these types of websites, very annoying). You want to click on the "To download file click the link below:" which is below the big "Download Now" image.

Yeah, to download just click on the name of the file. They are A+new+hope.pdf and A new hope Rules Update.pdf
The cards are easy enough to read on Adobe Reader I find.

Of course. The link is http://www.miniroyal.de/forum/index.php?wwwI will post more as they become available. From the forum I'll know their reactions and my brother Wannabe Mexican will be keeping us informed as to how they use them at German tournaments etc. I am not sure when I'll get the chance to play test them but we'll have to set something up on vassal.

We planing to make three sets a year like wizards. The german community can choose one of three given set topics and the german team makes this set. The story behind the Corran Horn spirit is that there was a board member with the nickname Corran Horn who´s died by an Accident
(I hope you understand my english)

I think these look pretty cool! I can't wait to see if they will be legal, but we might just play them in non competitive games!
