Just a little puzzle i've been working on. What are the most attacks available in a single activation in a 200 pt, DCI legal game? I can't seem to break 12.

There are pleanty of pieces you can give up to extra attack 5 via innate abilities, multiple commander effects, and GONK. You can get twin via czerka, or separatist commander. Still, It seems to max at 12 shots total.

(Rodian Raider + General windu + Obiwan, JG + Gonk + Czerka)

--Max Attacks--
15 Rebel Troop Cart
13 Czerka Scientist
156 Gonk Power Droid x13
10 Rodian Raider

(194pts. 16 activations)

32 attacks. Twin and Sexdecuple Attack (16 Attacks).

I think you might be right. I was about to suggest the Quad attacking clone trooper from GAW(I think ), but hes got 20 dmg, so no dice on the Twin.

I wasnt aware that Power Coupling stacks. Are you sure? I know that extra attack stacks, but i dont think that power coupling does... so because its a named ability, you can only get the one.

Power Coupling stacks because it grants an ability that stacks.

And technically, there is no limit. Flurry can in theory grant an unlimited amount of attacks.

Taking random luck out of the factor (flurry... though i suppose it would take a lot of luck to set up this troop cart), 32 then, is our theoretical max?

Once with Luke CotF, using Leia's attack after Obi-Unleashed died I used 'Use the Force' twice and then rolled a natural 20. Unfortunately, my last attack was wasted since Lord Vader had already died. But if that would have been against the AT-AT, it really would have been sweet. lol

For the purposes of a single activation, I think Flying Arrow has it. if you wanted to increase the dmg output, then you drop a single Gonk to add another Rodian though, as each Gonk can benefit two characters per round, technically.

Used to do that trick all the time, lol. Turret squads used to be so much fun. Then Wotc released pieces with Splash damage...Cursing

How can a Gonk benefit 2 characters per round?

After the first character attacks, the Gonks activates and gives Power Coupling to a different adjacent ally. With that many Gonks, it will take quite some time.

i can beat 32 attacks.

the blizzard scout w/ twin, surrounded by 16 gonks, and the vader bring the new total to 36 attacks.

the true most i can think of is this combo:

uggernaut + gen. veers (for accurate) + your opponent having the max starting zone of 88 figures + a completly wide open map would result in 176 attacks in one activation.

of course neither of these would happen, but this is a fun theory thread.

Only things is they were trying to keep it at 200 points. This would be 317 pts ;)

I think when you're surrounding a figure with GONK you might be relying on luck way too much.

Power Coupling only works on Small or Medium base characters

I wish power coupling worked on non-adjacents

Even if Power Coupling worked on Huges (maybe eventually the V-Set could create an Ultra Power Coupling) the Uggernaut could use 6 Gonks (3 on each side with 1 each being adjacent) and move 1 square forward/backward to get Furious Assault.
