Totally Obi-Wan Kenobi!!! As Anakin put it, "He's as wise as Master Yoda and as powerful as Master Windu." Also, he was the Master of Soresu Style and he had the will to defeat his most beloved brother(Anakin). Sigh...Probably not as pivital as Luke, but in my opinion the BESTThumbsUp

Yoda is my Favorite. "After kicking so much A$$ for 800 years, look so good, you will not"
I hate Luke too, but GMLS makes him the best Jedi.
Ive never lost in 200 with him. DCI DOES not count.(because I would never run him in Gambit, which I no longer play)

Ofcourse naming the best Jedi is a form of opinion, but how do Eeth Koth or even Yaddle add up to even being great Jedi?

Me and my friends have pretty much stopped playing Gambit for its restrictions on time and certain things that limit your characters you play with. We like to play our Battles out, until its the last man standing, like the game was intended.
Its nothing against against DCI or anything like that, I actually enjoy Gambit.
But GMLS is a Tank. If you use him in a DCI format, you limit what he can actually do, like save enough FPs to actually get his LS defenses off and such.
Im just saying that the game is bigger then Gambit I guess. No offense to anyone who ONLY plays Gambit.

I think the best Jedi from those here mentioned is Obi Wan. Not only is he from England, he kicks some serious butt too.

I like and respect Luke for what he did, but lets face it, Obi Wan's terrible joke in Episode 1 is much less annoying than wanting to go to Tosche Station to pick up some power converters.

Same way Ahsoka would?

Surprised Qui-Gon isn't on the list though...

Luke is the most powerful force user on that list. I don't think that makes him the greatest jedi. A jedi is very different from pure raw power in the force, and while luke did a lot to resurrect the fallen order, his jedi are not very much like the Jedi from the era before him. At their peak, I say that obiwan was the best. Yoda or Windu could easily be the pick, but for some reason, im leaning more on Obi in this case. I think, had anakin not butchered the order, Obi would have eventually become the best they had.

Ok I voted for Luke. There are 2 ways to look at this: SWM and through the books/graphic novels.

Now compared to Obi-wan in SWM there are some differences that make Obi a better pick (Soresu vs Djem So). There are more useful force powers that Luke has (levitate on RC, Use the Force COTF and Tauntaun) vs Heal 20 and Force Spirit 6 or 8.

Also you have to look at their lives. Obi-wan lived in an organized Jedi Order only to see it come crumblin down in front of him. Luke built his from the ground up and he had to learn much more about the force than Obi-wan did in order to train so many new Jedi. Luke even fell to the dark side at one point and was redeemed. He got to see both sides of the picture, where Obi-wan lived one the one side. I will even throw into the fact that Luke did get married to Mara Jade, where Obi-wan lived alone. Flapper

Luke had to face some of the same problems that Obi-wan did (senators rejecting the jedi, war, etc). Luke also had to face a much more dangerous enemy in the Yuuzhan Vong than Obi-wan did with the Sepratists droid armies.

Luke had it way harder with an entire Empire going after him during his training years and he came out on top.

Luke is the best no doubt about that.

cicrush13 makes some great points. It is difficult to answer as the question is rather vague. Best Jedi in the minis? Best Jedi as a character? etc. Obi was great and until the midpoint of Episode 3 so were Yoda and Mace. However, at that point in the film, Mace and Yoda are made out to be chumps. From a very valid point of view, those three are failures. Failure to see the Sith rising. Failure to save the Republic. Failure to arrest Sidious. Failure to kill Sidious. Failure to properly train Anakin. Failure to see Anakin for what he was. Failure to kill Vader.

Luke has his flaws, but his failure list doesn't seem so monumental. And he had a few successes. Blew up the Death Star. Check. Helped take out Sidious, twice! Check. Helped redeem Anakin. Check. Saved the NR countless times. Check. Helped stop the YV invasion. Check. Killed Shimrra. Check. I'm going with Luke, ftw.

Can't agree more with you on this.

Even in Minis Mace is quite frankly disappointing in so many ways. No lightsaber deflect??? Esp when we see him use this ability. Yoda was good til the middle of ROTS then was "overpowered" by Palpatine.

Luke also dealt with more Sith than any other Jedi, over his lifetime. He faced Vader, Palpatine, Caedus, Lumiya, Emperor Reborn, C'Boath (cloned). What other Jedi lived thier life to face this many Sith Lords? None that I can think of.

*Note: I am not counting apprentices or sith mauraders on this list.

It really shouldn't have been unexpected as Luke clearly has the most written about him, so he gets "undeserved" props*. I myself voted for Yoda, as without Obi-wan and Yoda Luke would be nothing more than a fried farmboy.

*Undeserved in that the rest are all underdogs by this nature.
