I'm going to be heading up a players committee for analysis of maps to be included in the next Restricted, Standard and Open list. Mostly we will be looking at customs, but we can also take a close look at the WOTC ones as well.

If you're interested feel free to BM me the following things: Your location, your play group size, your frequency of play, whether your group plays competitve, scenario/theme, fun or mix, rough idea of map availability in your area.

I will make my decisions based on that as I am looking for a good variety of players, but I will be keeping the overall size of the committee fairly small. I do however, feel it is important to include casual players. If selected, you must be willing to give me an email as I will have a standard reporting form to ensure we get all the information we need and it will be much easier to transmit back and forth over email.

Your main responsibility will be to record (either yourself or by handing out to the players) the results of your playtests on these forms along with any observations or thoughts and send the information back to me.

As of now, I don't have a close date to end playtesting, but I expect it to be near year's end.

I encourage anyone who is willing to do the work (please understand, this isn't just about giving your opinion but actual work for the community of SWMs players) to sign up and show us what you can do.

If you've ever wondered why certain people in the community have the respect and highly valued opinions that they do, it's by doing things like this over the years, and showing that they are capable, and that their opinions are helpful - as opposed to opinion for the sake of trying to create online rep or something like that.

Here's your chance to get involved and do something incredibly valuable for the future of the game. Please help TCW out and make this project a success!

I posted a thread at Gamers last night that has images of all the custom maps that have been published. I don't have access to Gamers at work, but It will help if someeon can add a ling to that thread.

My group plays all types so I will be happy to play test all the maps in my area.

I signed our venue up for testing, but we've got more players who frequent these boards, me thinks.

So, counting as from our venue, or who I consider part of our playgroup:
Disturbed1
swinefeld
Mickey
tx3235(did I get the numbers right?)
Adamb0nd (assuming you are the Adam from StL with the mohawk...)
Keith...whos screen name I dont know
maybe a few others who I just dont know use BM forums
Edit 2: kristeng06...how could I forget my own wife is on here too lol

Anyway, we play every Monday night, use themes often, and have been allowing the custom maps for awhile now, generally with the condition of your opponent not being opposed to using a non-DCI legal map for a standard tournament.

Edit: So I'll give what feedback I can, but our numbers have been shrinking lately, so I dont know how much youll actually get out of me, unless I go back to taking auto losses on matches in order to guarentee playing on my map.

"MAP-C" is the acronym for "Map Analysis Players Committee" which could be worded "Players Committee for Map Analysis" but PCfMA doesn't sound very fun ;)

And sounds like "map see"...as we are looking at the maps. It's an Army thing.
