Ok a buddy and I have been playing fearsome foursome lately and are really liking this format.

We are playing 4 figures (faction rule applied), up to 200 points on a map. Kill all opposing figures to win.

We have noticed some great use for figures that we normally don't play, like Mira, Kreia, Loda, Boba BH, etc.

This is a larger scale dynamic duo and provides some more strategy and combos that DD lacks.

Has anyone else played in this format or would you consider it in the future?

Any feedback here would be appreciated.

My group plays that every so often. We call it Fantastic Four and play it like DD in that squad totals must be exactly 200 points (along with faction rules in effect).

It's a blast. Can be played on tiles if you want to get the battles started quickly.

I agree, a lot of figures that aren't played that much become more viable. Take this squad for example:

48 Wookiee Hunter AT-ST
44 AT-ST
54 Blizzard Scout 1
54 Cad Bane

(200pts. 4 activations)

Not the best possible by far, but it sure is fun! Lots of DR10 to eat through, and whatever Blizzard 1 shoots at has -4 def for the rest of the round vs the other two AT-STs. Laugh

Nice!

So far I've played:

Cad Bane
Cade Skywalker BH
Jedi Exile
Zuckuss, BH

Total 199 points

4-1 with this one

GMLS
Mara Jedi
Ganner
Human BG

Total 200

2-0 here

General Obi-wan Kenobi
Master Kit Fisto (60 pt one)
General Skywalker
Aurra Sing (CS)

Total 199

2-0 here as well

My playgroup is sticklers for being EXACTLY the point count, not up to. We haven't done many games of Fearsome Foursome (or, as we call it, Fantastic Four, just like what others call Terrible Trio we call Terrific Trio, always gotta stay on the bright side, lol).

How about a Fantastic Four squad based on the Fantastic Four?

Darth Krayt (Thing because of Crab Armor)
Darth Nihl (Mr. Fantastic because of Melee Reach)
Jango Fett, BH (Human Torch because of Flamethrower and Flight)
Juhani (Invisible Woman because of Stealth and Force Cloak)

It's only 199 points, but might be interesting to play.
