Does anybody have any suggestions on how to improve this squad? It's a variation of the commando squads that seem so popular and frequently win tournaments.

--Killer Commandos--
35 Han Solo, Rebel Hero
27 Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando
21 Commando on Speeder Bike
18 Rebel Commando Strike Leader
48 Elite Rebel Commando x3
16 General Crix Madine
14 General Rieekan
11 Rebel Commando Pathfinder
7 Twi'lek Scout
3 Mouse Droid

(200pts. 12 activations)

I can't decide whether to keep the Speeder Bike or not. It's potentially dangerous, but costly. The Weequay's CE is quite helpful in conjunction with the Commando Super-Stealth granted by the Strike Leader, and the Speeder makes a dangerous, albeit expensive, deep strike weapon. The Bothan's Intuition and other abilities plus Crix's CE makes for a powerful one-off, and then Luke can Levitate him back to safety.

I would consider dropping the TBSV. Luke already has GMA and no one else has Double Attack. Just wait for Lt Page and then you will see that the Speeder Bike needs to stay.

I'd lose the bike. I've tried it 50 different ways, it never is worth putting in.

True Page will help, but also consider putting in Han Rogue to guarantee you have a chance of getting off some Cunning Attacks that your squad relies on for damage.

Squad updated. I replaced the TBSV with a Commando Pathfinder and a Twi'lek Rangefinder for extra mobility and attack strength. An alternative to this would be to take out the Speeder and the vacant points for the TBSV and use Han, Rebel Hero to give units Advantageous Attack for a total bonus of +30 DMG against non-activated units (leaving 4 points for filler).

I don't know who this "Lieutenant Page" is, but if he's part of the V-Set, I don't want anything to do with him. I don't want to start up more animosity between groups or against the V-Set (I think it was a great idea), but there was way too much controversy and drama surrounding it for me to care any about it. Besides, I feel like the V-Set probably won't even be accepted as DCI legal and, even if it is, it's no fun without actually having the minis to go with the stat cards.

I know you've pretty much made up your mind on the matter, but DCI no longer supports SWM. As for the mini, all the mini's for the V-Set cards are "recommended" because they make the most sense. You can use any figure as long as you obey the "Custom Minis" rules; which by the way are what the V-Set recommended mini is practically using.

Anyways, I just didn't want you to limit yourself out of a misunderstanding.

The only recommendation I can make to your squad is to get rid of the Weequay leader and maybe put in a Kel Dor to somewhat counter lancer squads. I like the idea of using to speeder bike. It is very out of date, but still cool to use. I remember doing a double speeder squad with Crix and had a blast.

Sincerely,

Squad updated again. I realized that, with CEs and bonuses, I'd be better off with another Elite Commando than the Bothan, so I took the Bothan out altogether. Although the Weequay Leader's CE works well with Super Stealth, the Mouse Droids that I had to add in order to take advantage of the CE would be early targets and, once they were gone, the Weequay was just 13 points of dead weight, so I got rid of them all (run-on sentence, I knowSmile ). In place of these guys, I added Han Solo, Rebel Hero (to give everyone even more "Cunning" damage). I kept the Commando Pathfinder (kind of helpful) and the Twi'lek Scout (can be helpful, but more of a filler; it has Stealth anyway, so it's not too bad), and added a Mouse Droid for filler and to give Han's CE more range.

Thanks for the input, everyone! Feel free to keep commenting on the squad.
