I mostly play with friends using my figures so I want to make sure I have this right.

Let's say I have 3 figures targeting 3 others arranged like this.

ABC DEF

1. C and shoot D without any penalty.
2. C cannot shoot E or F because they are under cover from D (barring accurate shot or sniper)
3. A can shoot at D but D gets +4 defense because B&C are in the way.

4. Question-what about B firing at D? Does D get cover from C? Or can B fire normally since a model can fire through 1 square of cover?
5. What if D was a model that can't be fired at, a diplomat or cloaked? Would that mean A, B and C have no targets at all?

1. Yes, there is nothing between the 2 characters so they have no cover
2. Yes, D provides cover to E and F so C can only shoot D since you can only target an enemy with cover if it's the nearest enemy
3. Yes, Low objects and Characters provide cover to enemies, allies and enemies alike
4. B can shoot at D, but D gets cover. B may be adjacent to C, but characters provide cover whether they are adjacent or not.
5. No, If D could not be shot at by A, B, or C for whatever reason, you would have to shoot E or F, assuming E and F don't have stealth or anything.
