Is there any errata on these 4? (5 counting Training Sgt.) about being Unique? Seems strange that I could have 5 Sev's in my squad.
Also, Brain Fart. Save of 11 (for shields 2) means 11 or better, right? just like every other save of 11?
Thanks, The FNG :P

No errata. Stuff as many as you want in a squad.
Yup. Save 11 means 11 or higher. (once for each 10 dam reduction in sheilds 2)

As for why the commandos are non-unique:
1) They are designed to represent a standard Republic Commando squad, whose members were interchangeable and replaceable. And Sev rolls of the tongue better than Republic Commando Long Range Weapons Specialist.
2) If they were unique, they would have to be Rs/VRs. WotC learned the hard way when they made a unique C in one of their DnD sets, aggravating players who had dozens of it, but could only use and would ever need 1.

I have not had the chance to play Republic Commando but from what I have read they are supposed to be "unique" in the same sence as cody, gree, rex and odd ball. But I understand why they did it in the minis. Thanks for the info guys!

Yes, In Rep Commando, all four of the Comms are unique (Scorch has Carth Onassi's voice from KoToR), but there was no way for Wiz to turn them into uniques, because they were already at there cap for unique characters. However, I do think Boss should have been unique where as the others should have been UCs.
