I'm playing around with the new Atris from DotF and I wanted to put her in a NR squad to gain renewal from dead Luke and have the evade be annoying with Leia. I'm not sure if this build is optimal though. Maybe take out dash and Jagged out for another echani and more door control. I also feel as if accurate shot would be useful, but am not sure how to work it in there. Tips are welcome. My goal is to keep it NR with Atris and echanis. The renewal for atris makes her quite annoying for my opponent.

41 Atris
28 Dash Rendar, Renegade Smuggler
25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight
44 Echani Handmaiden x2
15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer
12 Antarian Ranger
10 Jagged Fel
10 Luke Skywalker, Force Spirit
9 General Dodonna
3 Mouse Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(200pts. 12 activations)

I think your assessment is right on. You dont' need dash as the enchanti are basically as effective as him without the need for opportunist. Also, I've found in later rounds, Atris isn't as effective as one might think (found this the hard way). Its hard to get off her FP when your choice is use your first action to make an attack that may be critical, or lose that first activation to her force power and have two of your key guys hit before you get a shot off. (yes, they're at a -4, but with some figs, that doesn't matter much, expecially if your -4 just cancels their +4 cunning - but NOT the damage! ) The time I used her best was simply to get the force power the second round (after getting everyone in position the first round) then bring her in as a standard melee fig where she's still pretty effective.

How about this?

41 Atris
25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight
22 Corellian Security Officer
66 Echani Handmaiden x3
15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer
10 Luke Skywalker, Force Spirit
9 General Dodonna
6 Mouse Droid x2
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

(200pts. 13 activations)

The SCO gives Deceptive and It's a trap, good for Stealth and SS and, with Dodonna you could get off Deceptive.

Just another question... why are you keeping Ghost Luke in there? With 5FP that's 5 rounds of Atris's Force Ability. Assuming you don't need it the first round (as usually there's not many maps that give you shots the first round), you're into the 6th round till she runs out of FP and the 7th round before you don't have teh +4/-4. By then, the battle is usually close to over and she actually IMHO becomes more useful as a melee char with full HP to do cleanup. At least in the skirms I've used her, that is what seems to happen. Getting two more activations in there with mouse/Ugie/Gran for the 10 points gives you 15 activation, and almost guarentees with dodonna that you get off deceptive with the three handmaidens.

Don't know about Eroschilles, but I had Ghost Luke in my tweeked squad because I thought Atris' force ability cost 3 FP's. (and he had GL in his squad). His comment about her being more annoying with more FP's is right though.

Using my version without GL could give you 2 uggies and 1 mouse to spread "It's a trap".

I do like the suggestion about the CorSec officer giving deceptive, I'm just worried that he is 22 points that is not putting out alot of damage. Though he does add a potential 10 per shot for the three echanis for a total potential of 120 extra damage. I also fear I have no melee counter. If a melee survives long enough to base the echanis they're as good as dead. So, I was think of instead of a CorSec, put in jarael as melee interference. Addtionally, if my opponent has mostly melee, i can ghost her instead of atris to make her more annoying to fight with renewal, mettle, and leia's reroll. I also like jarael for her jolt.

41 Atris
25 Leia Skywalker, Jedi Knight
23 Jarael
66 Echani Handmaiden x3
15 Lobot, Computer Liaison Officer
10 Luke Skywalker, Force Spirit
9 General Dodonna
6 Mouse Droid x2
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

(198pts. 12 activations)

Hmm, what about no Jarael add a Handmaiden and a mouse/uggie. If need be use Atris/Leia to slow down a melee threat while 4 Handmaidens blast away?

I'm not sure if I can give up on Jarael so easily. She has excellent survivability, and is an excellent gambit obtainer. Especially with her higher movement. She can obsorb alot of melee damage with parry, especially with multiple rerolls. I might try her a few times and see if she is worth keep over another echani.

I like Jarael here. Great interference piece, even more so with extra saves (and possibly Mettle/Renewal).
I wouldn't want Atris in the thick of things early on, to get more use out of Force Meditation.

Not sold on Clobot. Since you have spare points, you might be better off dropping him for a couple R-7's. The door tricks could help you protect Atris and keep those fragile Maidens alive longer.

Looks like fun :)

You're right: Jarael is nasty without free re-rolls, extra FP's and Mettle, with those (shudder).

Ted's (Eroschilles) favorite thing in the world is to run Jarael with Leia and some access to extra FPs. It gets annoying in a hurry! lol

Assuming Dash hits anything with his 6 attack, considering Atris' Meditation will probably be in effect. =P

Well...I'm assuming he's at least going to be +14...so +10 (after BM) vs 19def...not horrible odds.

How do you figure +14? He's only got a base 6 attack.

Indeed, not bad odds at all, unless I'm the one rolling Razz
But this assumes Jagged is there with Dash.

But seriously, Jarael would be there for *melee* interference. If she gets based by Dash, you've done something wrong in many cases. Swap or Levitate will be hard to defend against of course.

In most squads (Sith (Malak or Nadd), Republic (Gen Sky or Quigon/Darky, Imperial (Jagged), NR (Jagged), etc) he should be attacking at +14 easily. BlooMilk

By why waste 28pts for only 23pts?

switching out clobot for two R7s is a good idea. I just have a weakness for that near impossibilty of bring in more people. Especially more echanis. Although, if this were for a more competitive setting, probably definitely drop for R7s.

Yeah, one of the problems with this entire squad is fragility. But that is just part of the build. Atris helps somewhat with the meditation, but obviously not letting dash get his opportunist off is key anytime anyone faces him.
