I haven't played the Vong yet, as my group's v-set cards still haven't arrived from Australia, but I keep seeing comments like "lots of commander effects for the Vong to choose from". I'm wondering, is it possibly a good thing to have lots of commander effects against the Vong? For instance, if I'm running a Republic squad with momentum, swap, and rolling cleave, the Vong can choose one, while I benefit from all three. But if I'm running New Republic with General Wedge Antilles as the only commander, then the Vong only have one to choose from, and there won't really be an advantage to having it.
So, in some ways, it seems that having no relevant commander effects, or having lots of different ones, would be the best thing against Vong?

Both are good considerations. I think a lot depends on the particular iterations of the squads being played. For example, if you are using a group of melee jedi with Wedge, the Vong get almost nothing. But against Momentum/Swap/rolling cleave, you've also added the possibility that your opponent will choose poorly. Both are good ideas and worth pursuing. TI is very much a strategic player's ability, not just in the choice of CE alone, but also in the original squad build to maximize it understand where the strengths and weaknesses are in both your own squad, and the opponent's.
