I think the title says it all. So is that how it works you can just drop people into someone else's place from across the map? Because if that is the case then that is incredibly broken and ridiculous.

Yup, you got it. Now, there is still one requirement; you need to be able to trace a path from both pieces to Thrawn. You cannot trace the path through walls.

Sincerely, Jester007 Over pits? I'm not sure about that. And if you use a mouse droid, Thrawn and Mas can be locked in a room and you can still swap board wide. No, it's not broken.

Pits do not block range.

Yup, you're right about the pits engineer and SB.
Previous post edited to prevent confusion.

Mas was one of those pieces, in my humble opinion that broke the game. I like the mouse droid, at least it's an obvious accessible focus.

It should probably be spelled out that you cannot trace thru "walls or closed doors".

Yeah closed doors blocking range are very important to remember.
And using Mas for boardwide swapping isn't broken. It is pretty risky, and takes a lot of skill to get right. I have used swap successfully. I have also screwed it up royaly and lost games because of a bad swap.

He didn't break the game, though he did change it drastically. Most notably in the meta obviously.

Mas doesn't break the game. In fact it could be argued that Imperials and Republic would be totally un-competitive without him. Extremely rare to see a squad from either faction without Mas. If he was boken. why haven't either of those factions won much of anything for a while?

In fact, that year, a year after Mas, I don't think any of the top 8 even had him in their squad :)

Why? Is it because your squad is going to be close anyway to help each other so Mas is not that important or is it because those squads centered around strong character that did not have commander effects. May I ask, is there a link to the squads that have won gencon so I can look at what they comprise of?
