So it's been a couple of weeks since I took my minis out for a spin. Since they've been living in tupperware-ish shoebox containers. I go today to put together some squads for a throw-down this evening, go and open a couple of boxes and . . . wham! A stench straight from Satan's bottom to my nose! Holy hell! These things, in a concentrated place, really reek after a while! It really knocked me on my ***!
So the moral of the story - air your figures out more often!

What era were the minis from? RS, CS, ROTS (early sets), AE (known plastic issue), or the newest sets?

Yeah, I've noticed some seem to be smellier than others. Mine have been in storage quite a while, so they're probably pretty ripe.

I'd say that I have more from the end of the game IE, Dark Times, Force Unleashed and so on than I do from the earlier expansions - but I've still got a diverse spread from early on too.

WOTC changed the plastic twice. Long term I don't think the AE pieces will last.

U mean you don't like the smell of plastcs that are breaking down. Usually it takes longer then a couple of weeks but I've noticed after a couple of months they get kinda stinky

Oh crap. In September I put two boxes of huges and fringe minis I never use up in the attic. I won't be getting them down until mid-june. Will not be looking forward to the smell.
