I think I am going to unleash this squad on my brother the next time we play. Sneaky

Without futher ado,

--Landing at Point Rain--
55 General Obi-Wan Kenobi
47 General Skywalker
34 Ki-Adi-Mundi, Jedi Master
33 Captain Rex
24 Commander Ahsoka
23 Commander Cody
21 Admiral Yularen
55 ARF Trooper x5
5 Spaarti Clone Trooper Demolitionist
3 Mouse Droid

(300pts. 14 activations)

Lots of decent beatsticks, and a couple of good shooters. With a bunch of CE's to boot.

Here is my comment on it, for some reason I couldn't get it to post. Confused

Ok here is a fun Themed Squad, built from my collection. It's also my first build using DotF characters, I got two in there. Minor door control even though we play using the Ultimate Mission Guidelines, wall's and windows can be made into doors with high explosives! Really liked this episode of The Clone Wars. I stuck to the theme and the cast of characters as best I could. There was a Mouse Droid there on Geonosis, you just didn't notice it with all the fighting going on. :) I know Mas Amedda would be nice here with all the CE's. However his blue butt was kicking back on Coruscant sipping girlie drinks, Chillin like the Villain he is. Plus like I said, I'm sticking to the cast of characters.

I'm thinking of switching Commander Ahsoka for Ahsoka Tano. I think it already has enough in the way of CE's and it would free up 4 points as well. Feel free to rate and comment, just please keep in mind the theme and it's built from my collection. :)

nice! I was gonna do a Clone wars themed squad but you beat me to it LOL.

Not sure I would make the change myself, Commander Ahsoka is pretty cool.

Thanks Q! BigGrin What about making a squad to go up against this one. ThumpUp

Ya, that's pretty much why I haven't made the change yet. Maybe when I play test it I'll get a better idea about Ahsoka.

I was just going through my Geonosian collection to see what I can field against it.

I'm thinking maybe try fitting in a couple more Spaarti Clones in there, but other than that I love it. I love ARF Troopers. I hope we see a CLone Trooper with Flamethrower in RnR. That would be awesome.

Thanks wm! ThumpUp I could possibly drop an ARF or two for some Spaarti Clones, but I'm thinking only if I need to worry about doors. The problem with that though is I'd hate to lose one ARF and then lose the Squad Cover. But Ya, those ARF Troopers rock! The first time I ever played them was the first time my brother faced a Stealth Squad. And he got so frustrated because he couldn't target them. Laugh He re-read the Stealth rule like 5 times trying to figure out a way around it. You could literally feel the annoyance radiating from him. On top of that I had their Defense boosted up pretty good so even if he could target one he needed high rolls to hit them. That or a lot of combined firing.

Ya, it would be awesome to see some Clone Trooper's with Flamethrower in RnR. I second that! ThumbsUp

Cool beans Q, can't wait to see what you have bud. BigGrin

Here's something I threw together real quick, I'll need to put a lot more work into it though. Once again I stuck to the theme, and the cast of characters, and it's built from my collection.

--CIS Zombie Bugs--
78 Huge Crab Droid x2 <---Put 2 of these in to represent the Super Tanks.
20 OOM-9
16 Battle Droid Sergeant
15 Dwarf Spider Droid <----Threw this is in because I don't own any Droideka's yet Crying
60 Geonosian Overseer x4
12 Geonosian Picador on Orray
50 Super Battle Droid x5
9 Poggle the Lesser
16 Geonosian Soldier x2
16 Battle Droid x4
8 Geonosian Drone x4

(300pts. 26 activations)

This has every Geonosian I own minus one Overseer. Dropped him for some Battle Droids. I'm thinking if worse comes to worse I could bump each squad up 100 points and rebuild.

I'm thinking I should pop in the DVD and see if I'm missing anything. ThumpUp

OK, Ill admit this isnt True to your theme and I aplogise BUT I did stick with Seps (mostly) but felt I had to make it competetive, that blasteded General Obi mini really restricted me, I actually made 3 squads This one Ill post, another generic seps squad that I kinda like but know it will fail and one similar to your Geonosian theme, but I just didnt have enough bits, I ended up with 4 on Picador and that was just not cool. Anyways...

51 Count Dooku of Serenno
48 Nym
37 Aurra Sing
87 Destroyer Droid x3
18 Super Battle Droid Commander
14 Iktotchi Tech Specialist
12 Gha Nachkt
9 Super Battle Droid
8 Battle Droid Officer
7 Security Battle Droid
9 Battle Droid x3

(300pts. 15 activations)

Nym is there PURELY to be a pain for Obi and Ki. Those abilities just frustrate the heck out of me. Gha allows me to stock up on extra droids thanks to his rapport with Non-Unique droids (saved me 10 points anyways) I think the Iktochi is pretty self explanatory LOL.

Now unless im mistaken (and I usually am) the two battle droid Commanders (SBDC and BDO) will allow +8 attack and the Security Droid gets an additional +4 so im liking that synergy. I could have gone with upto 7 Destroyers (thats how many I own) but that might have been restrictive LOL.

Dooku negates Obi's insane Jedi power (MWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAA you WILL take damage blasted you!) and of course the Original Aurra is the first ever beat Stick :p

I really found going back the seps a trial, I have spent the best part of 2 years playing Rebels, Imperials and Theme Squads, I remembered why!

Overall, if I had to play you (on Vassal if i can ever get the bloody thing to work!) id have to give you the advantage although if I can mow down your clones and take minimal damage I might stand a chance. You have 3 very VERY strong chars (Obi, Ki and Skywalker) and I was tempted to throw Grievious, Supreme Commander in there to mix it up with the jedi's but Maybe thats for another time. Overall, if I went with ANY figures available I could have thrown OBM-9 in there and maybe even Sora Bulq but I have a thing that I only build squads I can actually play. yes it limits me somewhat but I reckon I only need about 40 figures from the official sets anyway and I have only looked at the DotF set twice.

if you want a challenge tho, Rebs V Imps 300 Points, you can pick my side for me, ill even let you decide any stipulations (themes, exclusions etc) im pretty confident in my abilities with them both ;)

Blink Whoa, nice squad Q! Me likey. ha ha Laugh Man I wish I had a Nym. Crying Ya sticking with the cast of characters for the CIS probably wouldn't work very well. Although I kinda think it might have a slight chance being that you could do a lot of combined fire and seriously out activate the Republic. So who knows, I might try that out at home with my son or my brother.

I'd have to check on the Droid commander thing, but you may be right dude. Other than Nym and the Destroyer Droids I could field this too. Smile Oh man, this would be a blast to play! I have Vassal up and running, at least the last time I checked anyway. I need to have the cards and rules in front of me though, other wise I choke and lose track of what's going on in the game. Sad So it takes me a little bit to get set up and ready to go when I play on Vassal. If ya need help with it they have a great tutorial over at Gamers. It's the one I used to get mine running.

Oh man, I wish I had 4 Geo's on Picador! Just got the one. Ya man, I'm the same way. I only build squads I can field. ThumpUp Unless they have a cool squad building competition here on Bloomilk. Then just for fun I'll build one I wouldn't be able to field. They haven't had one in a while though. Maybe we should start one up man. That would be cool. Maybe themed based and competitive or something to that effect. Although I'm not the greatest at the competitive squads. But it would still be fun.

Did ya build the other CIS ones one Bloomilk? I'd like to check them out man. ThumpUp Ya, CIS squads always take a while for me to build. There is so much there to consider.

I didnt, I have one saved in SW minimanager whic is what i use to build all my squads (also has the abilities on there as well so no need for cards when playing vassal) Ill post the other one I have, its not as competetive IMO but who knows, you might like it!

Anyways, Im still waiting for your decision on Imps V rebs :p when you decide how you wanna go just lemme know :D

Squad Name: seps1
Squad Faction: Separatists
Squad Value: 300

Darth Maul 55
Battle Droid Officer 09
Count Dooku of Serenno 51
Durge, Jedi Hunter 51
IG-88, Assassin Droid 43
Destroyer Droid 30
Destroyer Droid 30
BoShek 11
Super Battle Droid 10
Super Battle Droid 10

there ya go (not the best format I agree) but Maul and Dooku will have some fun with your clones, and Durge isnt a push over. Still prefer the other one :)

Ah Bo Shek, you don't see him too often, got him not to long ago. Your making me jealous with the Droideka's. :P But your right, the other one looks much better. This one isn't too shabby though.

Imps vs Reb's squad building? Or you talking Vassal? Ya, I have mini manager too, problem is with my last few trades and Target buys I forgot to update it. So I gotta go back and do that. But Bloo is up to date except for one rather large buy I had recently. 150 mini's most CIS Droids with a smattering of Fringe and Sith, there are some orphan's in there so I'm still going through them.

Oh ya, almost forgot. My buddy made these suggestions to me for the Point Rain squad.

Here's what he said,

Yeah, you could make it the regular ahsoka and have the following changes

With the 4 more points from changing ahsokas, you can

Remove admiral yularen - he was present, yes, but not on the ground - and the spaarti clone (they weren't around yet) and the mousedroid

4pts+21pts+5pts+3pts = 33points

Then you can use those 33 points for more arf troopers; thus having more troops to benefit from the various commander effects

Or, if you'd rather go for an army, you could replace the 8 arf troopers with 11 regular clone troops (8 pts due to cody)

Or keep two arfs (one for waxer and one for boil) and have 7 clone troops and a sergeant

Lots of options :)

What do you think Q?

I think thats not a bad move, I kinda like Ahsoka tho. And the ARF's are pretty handy IMO. I think both would be pretty hard to play against but i think your original one has me more worried.

And I was talking about just making a squad on here, maybe arrange a vassal game in a weel or so?

The squad thing was just for fun.

Ya, only thing is I'm not too keen on dropping Admiral Yularen. I think that would be a mistake. But my buddy is a big fan of Clone Troopers so I know where he's coming from.

Cool beans, the squad thing sounds cool to me man. ThumpUp So does a Vassal match.
