Johnny boy! the Gauntlet has been thrown, challenge issued, Sabers drawn, choose your synonym.
I used Squelch in the title cos originally we were gonna do this but i figured what the heck, lets open it up and get your creative juices flowing!
The idea is, anyone who wants in on this, post a 300 Point Single affiliation squad. That means No fringe help, If your using Imps, No Order 66. Its for fun and I know many of you love your fringers (hell i do!) but for the purposes of this challenge the following rules are in effect.
Single Faction Squad 300 Points No more than 2 Unique Figures No more than 2 Force Users No more than 2 Commanders (in addition to Uniques) Only WotC official sets You may only post 1 squad from each faction but post as many Factions as you feel like.
Once everyone has posted a squad, then we will have a poll of sorts to decide who built the best squads, top 2 should really have a match on Vassal and claim the crown.
I stress again this is purely for giggles and should (not) be treated like your life depended on it. Im not the Boss but I will try to keep an overview on the rules, however, should you spot an 'illegal' squad, just point it out to whoever and they will be more than happy to change it.

Well, game over. Either the Rebels or Republic win. Override is the key. No one else even has access to it (no fringe). There are a few with satchel charge (Imp and OR), but I don't think that will be enough. If DotF was included then the Mando's would be in the running (Gunsmith). So, what is the next squad building challenge? http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/102197/300-sep-only--300 Reb only-- 45 Luke's Snowspeeder 52 Golan Arms DF.9 Anti-Infantry Battery x2 21 Commando on Speeder Bike 18 Rebel Leader 64 Elite Rebel Commando x4 16 General Crix Madine 26 Rebel Trooper on Tauntaun x2 14 Twi'lek Scout x2 44 Mon Calamari Tech Specialist x11 (300pts. 25 activations) Control Gambit with the Turrets. Luke can zip in to pick something off and back to safety. The ERC have cunning +20 and override (shoot and close the door). The Twi'lek Scouts have an useful SA (not CE, he he). The Rebel Leader becomes useful with all those activation Mon Calamari Techs to combine fire. Even 2x Tauntaun's for recon and spotter if needed. The Commando on Speeder Bike is the Rebel Lancer, with cunning a +10 for 40 strafe (not to be overlooked). The real meat of the squad is the 4x ERC hitting at +7 for 10 twin OR cunning at +11 twin for 30 OR +15 twin for 50 (combine fire with a Mon Cal or Tauntaun). Add +4 att with the SA from the Twi'lek scouts.

I think you win engineer lol Here's my offering: Republic 300 --300 Republic only-- 55 General Obi-Wan Kenobi 30 Republic Commando Training Sergeant 26 Jedi Weapon Master 19 Republic Commando - Boss 32 Republic Commando - Scorch x2 64 Republic Commando - Sev x4 36 Antarian Ranger x3 9 Clone Trooper Grenadier 9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid 10 Naboo Soldier x4 (300pts. 19 activations) Obviously there's a lot of stealth going on here lol EDIT: I had 1 too many force users. I missed that rule when I first read the OP.

a little confused here, it has to specifically say fringe reinforcements, or the reserves or reinforcements have to specify fringe characters.

If we take Garm Bel Iblis as an example, his card states "non unique Republic OR Rebel" so if your runnning a NR squad you COULD bring in Rebels, but for cards that state plain old reinforcements you have to stick to your factions.

Whoa, man I got to this party late. And my names on guest list! <---I need a fill up, long day at school today. Man, I stink at competition squads, oh well, challenge accepted Q! Pistol's at 20 paces then! @ engineer, nice use of the Mon Calamari Tech Specialist! I like seeing rarely used mini's in squads. I used them in a SWM {CE} enemy squad with my son a while back. *Scamper's away to build squad*
