I am asking this question after reading the glossary definition for Rakghoul Disease here on Bloomilk. And I just want to make sure it is worded correctly. It says:

This character gets a +10 bonus to Damage whenever it hits a living enemy. The target can avoid this extra damage with a save of 11. If this character defeats a living enemy, you may immediately add a character named Rakghoul to your squad. This character sets up in a square of your choice formerly occupied by the defeated enemy. This character doesn't count toward the cost of your squad. If you are scoring points for defeats, or in a tiebreaker, defeating the extra Rakghoul doesn't score points.

The statement I have the question about is "If you are scoring points for defeats, or in a tiebreaker, defeating the extra Rakghoul doesn't score points." Is this true? I have always played it where the new Rakghoul, if defeated, is worth the price listed on the card. Just trying to get clarification.

Thanks,
Roy

You do not get points for defeating new Rhakghouls. This is covered in the glossary defination.

Thanks for the quick reply Sithborg. I don't know how I missed that all these years.

There are a lot of little things you miss if you don't compare the glossary to the card.

That's something new to me as well; although I strongly disagree with it. I would have figured your opponent would get VPs for killing the new Rakghouls since they were not brought in with Reinforcements. But if the glossary says otherwise, then so shall it be.

Anyone think changing it so that you can get VPs from new Raakghouls would be a good idea?

Sincerely,
Jester007

Personally I'm happy keeping it the way it is, and I am ever so grateful that wotc made promos of them. It makes keeping track of which are which much easier.

The general consensus for the Design Team is to "not directly change or contradict things already established by WotC" so I doubt they'd ever think about changing it.

I heard you could prevent Rakghoul Disease by always using those paper toilet seat covers in public restrooms.

I was thinking more of a Floor Rules insert to modify how Rakghoul Disease is handled.

Depends how bad the disease is. (PS: a lesser-known secret is that bloomilk is the cure for every illness BlooMilk )
