Ok, so, I built this squad because, based on my knowledge, the 2 CEs from GOWK and GMY would stack, but I just wanted to be sure. Can anyone get me some clarification on this?
--Jedi Defenders-- 55 General Obi-Wan Kenobi 55 Grand Master Yoda 49 Anakin Skywalker, Champion of Nelvaan 60 Antarian Ranger x5 8 R7 Astromech Droid 15 Youngling x3 6 Mouse Droid x2
(248pts. 14 activations)

No, GOWK's and GMY's CEs will not stack. They are straight bonuses, which never stack unless stated. So everyone will just get the +4/+4 from GOWK.

My understanding was that they would stack since they are 2 different CEs with different card texts....

This is incorrect. This is covered under the Commander Effects section of the glossary.

Named abilities stack with different named abilities (i.e. if one CE gives you opportunist and one gives you Jedi Hunter you can have both and get +8 to hit against activated Jedi).
Flat bonuses to stats which aren't named don't stack with each other (+4 Attack from GOWK doesn't stack with +3 from Yoda or even conditional unnamed bonuses like the +4 from Captain Antilles that only applies against Fringe).
It's a little difficult to get a handle on (for example if Captain Antilles granted "Fringe Hunter" it would stack and "Fringe Hunter" looks a lot like "+4 to hit and +10 to damage against Fringe"), but once you get used to it it's pretty clear.
Summary: +4 to Attack & +3 to Attack = +4 to Attack +4 to Attack & Opportunist = +8 to Attack Opportunist & Jedi Hunter = +8 to Attack Jedi Hunter from CE1 & Jedi Hunter from CE2 = +4 to Attack

What about special abilities? Could you use Master shaper +10 damage twice or a droid officers +4 attack twice? Or same rules still apply?

Master Shaper and Shaper +10 stack as they have different names, even though they affect the same stats. Droid Officer = No. Exact same SA. This is a rules thread - I'm moving it accordingly.

Even though the two CEs in question give different "static" bonuses, they are still a flat stat increase. The only real difference is with GOWK's, the follower needs an ally within 6 squares as a condition. If a follower can benefit from both, then you would pick the better of the two. As mentioned before, if you have a CE that grants an Special Ability (like General Skywalker's Momentum CE), then that will stack with GOWK's or Yoda's CE. Sincerely, Jester007

Sincerely, Jester007 Let me see if I have this correctly in a similar scenario: So if you have Atris, some Echani Handmaiden's, Master Kota as well as Grand Master Yoda in a Republic Squad the Echani Handmaiden's would benefit from the +4 attack and +10 damage from Atris but only one of the +3 attack / +3 defense CE's from Kota and Yoda, not both.........correct?

They would get +4 Attack (Atris), +3 Defense (Kota or Yoda, not both), +10 Damage (Atris).
