Hello to all of you Virginia Star Wars Minis fanatics! I guess it was time to make a thread for our V-Sets. If you don't already know me, my name is Ian and I live in Northern Virginia (Haymarket to be more exact). Here's how I am going to handle the distribution of V-Set 2: -I will need to know how many people there are in VA who are going to be getting a copy of the cards because I plan on attending GENCON this year to pick up all the sets in person. -If you plan on going to GENCON, let me know so that I can give you your cards over a glass of Sam Adams and call everything good. -During the week after the convention, I will be sending out to those who did not make GENCON their copy (or copies) in the mail AT NO COST to you. That being said, when you put your name down, I would very much appreciate it if you left your mailing info with the number of sets you are ordering. -If you are part of my local group, I'll will just hand you your set of cards when we get together for games (after a little begging of course =P). If you have a group of your own, let me know who they are so that I can do a bulk shipment to a chosen representative of your group and he/she can deliver all the copies to where they belong. -Once your package arrives, please let me know in this thread or in a PM. Communication will be key to make sure everyone gets their deserved copy of the cards. Hey Jester I just moved to VA from Tn and I was looking around for areas to play Minis. Are you guys open to people coming in to play?

I'm not Jester (obviously) but I know I speak for our entire group when I say we would be happy to have a new player!
Whereabouts did you move to?
Not trying to be nosey, but I just want to see if you're closer to our group, or one of the others.
Either way you should have a place to play thats not too far.

I just moved to the Richmond area, to be exact Glen Allen. I don't know much about the towns around so I wouldn't know which city is closer so yeah, any help finding a group would be greatly appreciated

Shmi15: I live in Richmond currently. I will be going to the (barring complications) regionals in Fredericksburg. It is one hours north of Richmond from Glen Allen. if you want to catch a ride, let me know. I am in Midlothian but work in Glen Allen. The area of Richmond is pretty much dead to SWM. JediCartographer lives in Newport News and he knows a few players. Just shoot me a message. I will be out of town this weekend.
Besides that group in Fredericksburg, that they have almost run me out of VA. J/K. I am in the process of preparing for a move to FL.

Yeah I may take you up on that ride out there. I'm trying to convince my friend to go to it and if he does I wouldn't need one, cause he knows where everything is. Where do you usually play at markedman247?

I don't really have a place. the stores are:
FTW games on midlothian trnpk. mostly wh40k
One eyed jaques in cary town. close early
a couple of comic/pokemon shops.
best 2 choices are the tr op 2

Don't forget about The Game Vault in Fredericksburg. We run tournaments every other Saturday night. I'm Roy and I'm running the VA Regional tournament. I'll be looking forward to meeting you on the 28th.

I wasn't omitting The Game Vault. I was merely pointing out the places in Richmond. For the healthiest SWM community in VA, I would say that The Game Vault is the best place. But, much like me, driving 45 to 1 hour is something you have to think about.
That being said, Glen Allen is a bit closer than Chesterfield by a good 30 minutes so he's probably more near 30-45 minutes

8 LOOONNNNGGGGG days that will not pass fast enough AT ALL! Getting kinda hyped for the tourney to be here already! Awesome to hear you got 3 Shmi! Our tourney keeps steadily increasing :)

Greetings! Sorry for not responding earlier, been a little busy w/ a new job. The VA group consists of about 12 guys. We normally get anywhere from 6-10 people showing up. As Roy (swmrogue57) mentioned, we get together ever other weekend for games and smack talk. We would really enjoy having your company at the shop if and when you can make it.
