This thread contains spoilers of the NJO series of books.

I first heard about this set in the Important V-Set funding thread. I have also noticed how little speculation there seems to be surrounding this set. I think it is going to be awesome fun to play with! Here are a few of my guesses as to what we will be getting.

We have been told there is one per faction, and acouple of extra goodies in there.

OR - The Revanchist Redeemed.
Sith - Literally no idea.
Republic- Yoda, or a truely epic Mace Windu.
Seppies - A Grievous that deserves the title Jedi Hunter, or a Dooku that can kick Obi and Ani's butts, Geonosis style.
Rebels - Also a tough one. A Han Solo perhaps.
Imperials - A Vader or a Starkiller that can hunt down jedi and destroy them.
NR - Another Luke?
Vong - This is a hard one. Possibly a Shimrra from the final duel between Luke, Jaina and Jacen.
Mandos - I don't know enough about Mandos for this.
Fringe - A fanboy Boba Fett? Possibly a Mara Jade when she was with Karrde?

Here's some fun facts about the set:
1. Each faction's piece design was initiated by a different person
2. One of the characters has Affinity
3. There are no Large-base Epics
4. There are 2 characters making their 2nd appearance
5. There are 3 new characters making an appearance

Me and my friends discussed this as well. Here is what I came up with.

Fringe- Could literally be anybody. But the best I could think of is An Epic Version of Cad Bane.

Vong- Shimrra would be the only logical choice.

Mando- A Bobba that makes all the other "Mandalores" shake in their armour.

Rebel- This is where the discussion got interesting. An Old Ben Kenobi was mentioned in our discussion, of course a Han Solo, but I feel the best piece to represent this faction is Starkiller. He formed the Rebellion and was at his strongest after turing on Vader.

Old Republic- There are so many people that its not even fair to speculate. The Revanchist Redeemed sounhds like the best choice, but who knows, I keep reading about new BA's every other week from this era.

Republic- I think there are 4 strong canidates for the Republic. Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Yoda, or Anakin the way he was invisioned by George Lucas. Me being the Mace Windu fan that I am, I'm biased by saying thats what I want. An Obi-Wan though would be amazing here, in my eyes he in many many ways was the poster boy of the Republic. A good Anakin though is well over-due, and What more can be said about Yoda?

New Republic- Even though it seems like he isn't needed, a new Luke would be amazing. One with the FP's he deserves. He should have access to any Fp on the board!

Seps- This one is tricky. Dooku is an obviouse choice. But a Darth Maul would be exciting. Grievous that has a meaning to him would also be nice to see.

Imperial- Now why everyone wants a Vader. I say give us a Palps who can actually compete himself and not just be a Battery for other Force Users.

Sith- This one is an obviouse choice. Darth Bane Sith' Ari. If it is anything other I will refuse to play this set.

Due to the nature of DD and the relative fragility of nonmelee pieces, I'm disinclined to believe there will be more than 1, maybe 2, shooters. I anticipate a lot of huge beatsticks who will be paired with existing shooters for support.

For Seps, I would definitely say it's a toss up between Dooku and Maul. A ton of people want a beastly Maul, and for all intensive purposes he wasn't weak by any stretch of the imagination.

Sith: I agree COMPLETELY with Everyone so far, and not just because Darth Bane is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time... I just wish there was 2-3 slots per faction, since most factions could EASILY contain 2. My second pick for Sith would Nihilus, a guy who treats the galaxy as an ALL YOU CAN EAT Buffet? That's pretty dark stuff...

So I like Satele Shan (she apparently is one of only a handful of known Jedi Grandmasters)

Starkiller/Galen Marek by name would be new, but not the underlying character...

Now I'm really curious.

Seps could be a Sidious afterall he did beat down 3 masters at once, and bested Yoda in a duel.

Rebel: Luke? NO WAY! he was no where near epic during the Rebellion, I think WOTC Champion of the Force is too powerful a Rebel luke (not to mention HPU).

Maybe I missed something somewhere.
