Ok, here is the squad:

--Kyp's Impulsive New Jedi Order--
46 Kyle Katarn, Combat Instructor
45 Garm Bel Iblis
26 Kyp Durron
23 Anakin Solo
21 Han Solo, Gambler
10 Jagged Fel
9 General Dodonna
8 R7 Astromech Droid
6 Varactyl Wrangler
3 Mouse Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Garm Bel Iblis) 24 Exceptional Jedi Apprentice
(Garm Bel Iblis) 5 Bith Rebel

Basically, I played this squad the other day and had a lot of fun with it. It put my opponent in a difficult position because the minute Kyle, Garm, Kyp, Anakin, Han, Jagged, Dodonna or the EJA were killed, someone or many of the others gained an advantage.

I found it worked really well if they keep pretty well huddled, although I did have the EJA run out and get locked away from the rest of the posse. But I needed someone to die so Anakin could get his thang on. Anyways, Anakin didn't get to unleash because most of the others were dead before then anyway.

I just wanted ideas to improve on the squad. I was especially thinking of getting rid of Jagged, as he was a cheap unique who did technically give boost to Anakin, but as Anakin was more an unleasher than a beat I didn't need the gregarious. Also, maybe a way to get the EJA in without using up all of Garm's reinforcements as I only have 6 points left and had to use a rubbish bith or rebel trooper.

Anyway, let's get the opinions in on how to make this squad better, although please remember I want impulsive jedi action to remain the theme.

Cheers

How about?

46 Kyle Katarn, Combat Instructor
27 Lobot
26 Kyp Durron
24 Exceptional Jedi Apprentice
23 Anakin Solo
23 General Wedge Antilles
18 Bomo Greenbark
9 General Dodonna
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Lobot) 8 R7 Astromech Droid
(Lobot) 6 Mouse Droid x2
(Lobot) 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2

I got rid of Garm, he only helps Anakin and X Jedi app. (Kyp has LS Assault). Got rid of Han, Bomo fit the squad better.
You could also bring in Salacious Crumb with Lobot. 5 pt unique. If you think you need Jedi hunter, bring in Logray.

I like juicemans twist...but I feel lit loses some of what you had in mind in your original concept...however I think this still keeps the flavor fo what oyu had in mind:

Type: General
Activations: 8
Total HP: 480
Avg. Defense: 16.88
Avg. Attack: 6.50

Easy to Copy/Paste version:
--Kyp's Impulsive New Jedi Order--
45 Garm Bel Iblis
29 Ganner Rhysode
27 Lobot
26 Kyp Durron
24 Talon Karrde
23 Anakin Solo
23 General Wedge Antilles
3 Mouse Droid

(200pts. 8 activations)

I didn't fill in the reserves or reinforcments as I felt that this is too easily adjusted for what the situation calls for.
but it does allow you to bring in pieces that you can kill off for "Free" to still cause Anakin and Kyp to go postal...

and Talon was brought in for his Disruptive and Recon, plushe is a decent twin shooter and Ganner can fling Kyp or Anakin into a better position before they do their thing.

Is the CE from Kyle beng used a lot? If not; I would strongly recommend switching Kyle for the Kyle JBM version; the JBM one has a lot of cool abilities you can use. Plus he'd benifit from Garm CE.

I did find myself using the CE a little bit. But it depends how beat heavy the opponent squad is. I might consider using the other Kyle.

I certainly have lots of other ideas to consider. I only normally run minis I own so would not have thought to use Ganner or Bomo as I don't have them, but will look into it. My MotF case arrives soon so hopefully I will get Ganner. If not I will buy him as I do really want him.

I shall experiment and let everyone know what works for me.
