This may have been covered but I looked in the FAQ and didn't see it.

If Palleon is in the same squad with Palpatine, Sith Lord, and Palpatine is switched out for his 40 pt version for force point generation, do any units (clone troopers, Rex, Gree, etc) that are brought in from the original CE (Squad may include characters with Order 66) get removed as well?

No, as Palpatine Sith Lord's CE affects squad building, and Pelleaon's CE resolves afterwards.

That's what I was figuring logically but wanted to make sure. Didn't want to bring in an army only to have it shrunk down to a meager 3 or four pieces.

A fun combo is to use Palps to get Captain Rex in there, then drop him for Vader Scourge.

wouldn't you be screwing yourself out of 22 points giving up Palp SL for Palp on Throne?

Actually you would give up 29 points for Throne Palps.

Yes, you can potentially lose a significant number points from your build by using Pallaeon's CE, but your opponent also loses the chance to earn those "wasted" points towards victory.

This can be strategic in sanctioned competitive play, as it puts pressure on them to score gambit points and kill more/all of your squad within the time limit to get a 3 point win.

While it is somewhat limited in use, it is a unique way of customizing your squad.

another fun one is Palp on throne for Arica. She can start out halfway accross the board.

That is a very interesting idea. Now I need to get Thronepalps to try this out.

I don't follow you. How would that work?

Place Palpatine with Emplacement, then use Pelleon to remove him and place Arica in one of his four spaces.

Ah, I had misread Pellaeon. I thought the character you swap in had to be a commander as well.

No. You can replace with any Imperial Character of equal or lesser cost.

Palpatine, Sith Lord allows your squad to contain characters with Order 66, which includes Rex. After Rex is in the squad, though, you can use Pelleaon to swap Palpatine out with Vader SotJ. This way you get a sweet shooter in Rex and also a better melée piece with Vader over Palpatine.

Great, thanks. That's what I thought was meant, but was trying to see some potent combo of abilities, CEs, etc that I was missing.
