I recently received the Armored Cartographers Map Pack 4: Strongholds & Fortresses in a trade and the maps are awesome! However, they're also uber-shiny and thus give off a bad glare. I don't think it's anything usual or any "worse" than normal but it is inconvenient. Do you guys have any tips or tricks on how to mitigate glare when you're playing? Is there some sort of spray, perhaps? Thanks to any and all suggestions!

The only thing that I can think of is using some kind of 'matte-finish' spray. But that might ruin your map lol

Its all about the angle and amount of light.

Unfortunately shiny paper is the tradeoff you make for getting good colour. Aside from rearranging your gaming space, I don't think there's much you can do as you'll get glare on anything given the right angle.

I laminate all of my maps, so anything non-laminated is not shiny in comparison. I have found that angling your light off to the left or to the right of where your players are sitting helps the glare problem (with SWM and RPGs)
