When a character has affinity and is in that specific squad ie; Jaina Solo Sword of the Jedi in a Mandalorian Squad, can that character benefit from faction specific commander effects?

Same question but applying to Fringe characters as well?

Eg. Mandalorian Captain CE

Mandalorian followers within 6 squares gain Twin Attack.

Affinity specifically changes the character's faction. Being Fringe does not. The Mandalorian Captain's CE only applies to those of the Mandalorian Faction.

So in the example; Jaina could be a "can opener" with 6 attacks.

And it is the same for any fringe character, that can benefit from the effect.

*** just saw the bove post, ignore the Fringe part.

Yes to Jaina, since she has Affinity, thus her faction becomes Mandalorian.

No to Fringe, because they aren't of the Mandalorian faction, they are Fringe. Unless you have Mandalorian Conscription, which changes their faction.

As a related point, faction doesn't change until AFTER squad-building, so Jaina could not be on a Sith squad (via Uliq Qel-Droma).

So lets say hypothetically she was A mando with affinity for NR, then she could be with ulic right?
