Cassus fett wrote:corranhorn wrote:PrimeClone wrote:What's all this bashing of the attack of the clones? What did you expect from a family science fiction movie? The sets were awesome. You mean obi one flaying through the window haning on to the droid is not cool? How about jango fett in armor? Zam being a changeling. You don't get a shiver down the spine when you see the clones marching for the first time on camino? The chase of obi to get jango means nothing to you? What's wrong with you? Anakins character development (to understand the building blocks to his demise) is well executed. His Love for padme is ultimately his undoing, so can't you see the beauty of deep teenage love as they go into the arena to die side by side? You make me sick; the battle of genosis is one of the coolest star wars battle around. Honestly when is the last time you watched the movie? The cinema exploded, we all stood up screaming when Yoda pulled out the lightsabre. When I play star wars I relieve that movie and its characters. Attack of the clones is one of the best science fiction in recent history. Sorry you missed the plot.
Cheers You...need to get a grip. For real. I agree, I'm sorry but if you think that was well executed romance you have some serious issues. Just because a movie is cool doesn't make it good case and point Transformers (Micheal Bay). This cool = good logic is what 5 year olds use when they're argueing on the playground. The more I think about AOTC them more I realise it was the worst so if I could i'd change my vote to it from TPM Not even that so much as the language he used. "What's wrong with you..." I've seen his posts before during Vset complaint threads too.

+1 to Cassus Fett for the Michael Bay/Transformers remark. Great visuals, but terrible plot and characters. ugh.

ROTJ, clones really didn't need the awkward ani/padme bits but detective obj wan and the epic ending more then made up for it. I like all the movies but as a soldier ROTJ just gets on my nerves. Ewoks, teddy bears taking out storm troopers? That whole ending ground battle doesn't make any sense. But I am one of the few that likes all six movies almost equally. My favourite being ROTS and ESB

It was a metaphor for Vietnam and the tactics that the US army had such a hard time dealing with. But it was still a bit wonky, since the whole point of those hit and run tactics was never to get forced into a large scale ground battle. Let's just all hope GG never gets deployed to a forest moon to protect a shield generator...

I voted AotC because the romantic scenes are just so painful and cringe-inducing to watch.
I'm a lot less critical of the prequels than most people. I guess because I've bought into the Star Wars universe. So I come at it with less of a critical view and more of a 'historical' view. I'm looking less for plot and more for historical background in the universe. And if it's history (even if that history is invented), I just take it for what it "is".

That's why I liked the phantom menace Gungans versus Droids better. Since the indigenous savage group loses horribly against the better equipped/organized and superior numbers of the droids. Tactically makes sense haha
