Well, like with Double Swap, the mouse problem is a combination of several different issues. It's got everything: Even though it is no threat at all, it can force people to target it by moving adjacent; it's cheap activations, it can wall people in, it provides cover, and it's REALLY HARD TO HIT.

Not that you don't know that already, and yes, Low Caste would not solve the high-act grunt dump. But Brutes, Ewoks, and Ugs are all significantly easier to hit; would realistically provide cover/force people to target it/be able to wall people in.

Maybe just the fact that the next best fodder would be the Rodian Brute at 14 Defense would make the extra acts way easier to take out. Not to mention they can fight LOL

Responded to this on the "Floor rules change for 2 point pieces" thread.

And you can make them into Rakghouls!

Wait wait wait, epiphany. Man this is so sick I can't believe I didn't think of this before. What about making a Bastilla style counter to the mouse droid specifically. Make it that Sith Lord who created the techno beasts. And have an ability called "Upgraded Virus" force 5: replaces turn, all droid characters with a damage value of 0 and less than 20 HP are immediately defeated, you can immediately add a character named Sith Technobeast to your squad for each character defeated in this way. The new characters set up in a square that the defeated enemy formerly occupied.)

As well as for the Imperials:

Brakiss
Rigged Droids (Replaces turn, all non-unique droid characters with a damage value of 0 less than 20 HP are immediately defeated, save 16.)
Rapport (characters named Gonk droid cost 6 less while in the same squad as this character)

Commander Effect
Enemy droid characters gain Self Destruct 10 while not adjacent to a character in your squad.

That would be quite the dissuading option for bringing mouse droids (and buzz droids those little wretches)

Junk Droids would've made a good Droid Rakghoul equivalent.

I think a total hard counter wouldn't be the best choice, but having something that gets an advantage because your opponent is using mice or the like would be nice.

One of my ideas is inspired a bit from fighting all the little guys in Force Unleashed:

Grunt Punt: FP 1, Replaces Attacks. Select up to 2 small characters, ewoks, jawas, or ugnaughts 5 points or less within 6 squares. Remove those characters from play, they are considered defeated. Make one nonmelee attack for each character removed, ignoring cover, at +X attack, where X=The Defense value of the removed character.
