Even though I stated my incorrect opinion, I did state the correct ruling and said my thoughts on the matter were incorrect. But, I'll end this nonsense right now, I apologize for voicing my incorrect opinion. You are right, and I am wrong. Case closed.

Maybe what the problem is, is that people are thinking that when you attack while galloping you stop your move to attack, and then you start to move again. I can see how someone can be confused if they are thinking this. Yes? No?

I can see where the confusion comes from, yes. However, a close read of Galloping attack should get rid of the confusion. It does state that the attacks happen while the character is moving.

Galloping Attack (As this character moves, it can attack each adjacent enemy, +4 Attack; this turn, this character cannot attack any enemy twice and cannot move directly back into a space it has just left. This ability is usable only on this character's turn.)

Yes, I understand that. I'm just saying, sometimes people read stuff and get a totally different thing out of it. I've experienced that a lot actually.

I didn't mean to say that you didn't understand that. I was providing a suggestion on how it could be explained to someone who is confused.

In my experience, the different rules interpretations usually result in a quarter-hour debate at the LGS... or a 3-page long thread on Bloo Milk.

3 pages of fighting for a rule that's all readly been proved several times... this is just childish.

Does everyone now agree to HOW this interaction actually works? (not stepping in, just asking if there is any question or doubt)

It is ok to say how you think it SHOULD work, but just make sure that everyone knows that you are just voicing your opinion. When you say something like "that's how I read it..." then you are attempting to answer the question with your own interpretation of the rules.

No offense, but sometimes we read things wrong and need corrected. Heck, when I first got invovled with the forums I was corrected quite a bit by Billiv, Sithborg, LoboStele, etc. I took no offense, but rather learned from it and I wanted to. That way I didn't inform someone else incorrectly. It's like Bill said, it's all about teaching the right rules to everyone.

Yes.

I realize how some of my posts could have been misinterpreted, I did try to be very clear on the actual ruling though.

I apologize to Billiv for overreacting like I did. I did say some things I shouldn't have. But I still think you don't have to be so quick to dash opinions to the ground as we are all capable of having different thoughts on the same issues.

So it should just be 'characters that are within 6 aquares gain momentum'?

You want to face a YoBuck running around with +22 for 30 against every last one of your units? I believe the CE was worded the way it was to avoid such a situation.

The way it is currently worded is just fine. Heck, even just getting Momentum in Republic is a pretty big deal. Just imagine the chaos it would create if Gen Skywalker had Indomitable's CE!

So it was my post that started huge fight on bloomilk. Lol!! When I originally posted my squad idea the momentum was great (with my incorrect interpretation of the commander effect) but the momentum is still really good with Kybuck if you play smart, but I was more excited about the healing possibilities!! Each round with this squad there is a possible 120 points of healing that can occur! With yoda on kybuck having so many hit points he can usually make it through your opponents army twice before he get gets close to death, but with that much healing he becomes almost invincible! Captain Tarpels would also be a great fit into a squad like this.

Tarpals would definately be a good part of this team, that much healing is nuts.
