Still pleanty to build with and you have 2 sweet CE's and other Usefull abilities. Wonder if the cunning attack thing is enough to make Leia with Oboe from Dark Times playable. +13 for 50 double attack vs droids is pretty impressive. I think that's a bassoon, (and IE, not DT) but she costs too much. *EEHM* THIS is a bassoon. Clearly the princess is using it wrong, even this would be more acceptable.

Lol at the bassoon battle. No offense intended by the association of your instrument with a somewhat crappy mini. OK then, let's just say she has a didgeridoo. Aussies, commence unleashing your protestations upon me.

FP force 2 Surprise Attack [Force 2; Once after INT is determined, this character can make an immediate attack.
CE Unique Rebel allies within 6 squares get +10 Damage while this character is wounded.
Enjoy. I also had the customs that I have been working on for Scum and Villany and Jedi vs Sith. i am not sure if anyone took pics of them or not.
I seriously love this Leia. Gives some fun new options to some Commando squads and Versatility is an aweomse ability, especially for someone like Leia who can take on many different roles. Plus I'm always up for Rebel Heroes with Accurate Shot! And Surprise Attack is a great new Force Power.

Lol, as a professional bassoonist, I dig the bassoon reference. Also, you can stand and play with a bassoon, so Leia isn't too far off in her pose. A neck strap, like the kid in the first picture is using, would allow for standing while playing. Figirn D'an essentially plays the intergalactic bassoon...but I would beat him in an audition for Principal Bassoon of the Universe.

Love the Leia, I see what they mean about making the rebels about heroes. I think in 3 or so V-sets though, a Leia should be made that brings in and helps characters named Rebel Trooper.

I do wonder, in todays meta, with 60 hp and a fifteen def, does she have the survivability to let her ce get use?

Use the old Dr.Evazan and do an automatic 10 damage to Leia. He only costs 10 pts and he's pretty handy at taking out diplomat walls also, since the old Homicidal Surgery isn't an attack, just a replaces turn ability that can affect an adjacent living character.

Or for 15 points you can pair with Momaw Nadon who is even better against diplomat walls/mice.

Yeah, Momaw Nadon is far more reliable, since Dr. E still has a save attached.

Momaw works well, and deals only 10 damage.
I thought that the idea was the vset team was going to give the rebels some sa's to counter bastilla. While the new leia does help out the main cast from the ot, they are still going to have the same problem they currently have. I wonder what else the faction will get to bring them back into competitive play.

Rumor has it we will see a new Chewbacca with the following SA: Walking Carpet (Allied Commanders who have cover from this character cannot have their commander effects suppressed)

I like the idea of walking carpet, but it seems like cover is a relative condition, so I am not sure how it would work.

I wonder what else the faction will get to bring them back into competitive play. While she doesn't have, say, Camaraderie (leave that to others...), she is fully inline with the goals for Rebels. Currently, there is one Leia to use: Princess Leia (A&E). She is pretty much there for the CE. This Leia gives the Rebels some Versatality ( ;) ), much like Pelleaon gives to the Imperials. She can make a lot of the older Leia's better shooters. I mean, you have Hoth Commander shooting at +11 for 40 against unactivated enemies, with Mobile. Cloud City can Accurate, and make sure she does with Force Sense. And even then, she is great as a standalone piece. Even without CE's, you can give her Twin. Ghost her, and she is going to be putting out quite a few nasty shots before the round even starts. And that is just the start. While it isn't an outright 100% counter, she is the first step in fleshing Rebels out from the overdependence on CEs.

I concur. I think this Leia is a brilliant piece. With Madine, Tech and ghost she will put 60 damage on her target of choice more rounds than not.

actually with madine and some form of Rig blaster she can get 120 on some characters. Using her force power first and then getting to go early on.

I was speaking specifically of her pre-activation damage, but as you noted above she can also get 60 more during her turn. Not bad at all for her cost.
