About what I expected from lowbacca. What us dispassionate killer supposed to thematically represent?

Most likly the fact that Sith Kill Disspassionatly.

I was referring more to why being dispassionate results in suicide... which I don't think anyone has ever been able to figure out how the name matches with the effect.

I can see two different interpretations for the Sith Knight:

1) The character is so dedicated to the idea of damaging an opponent that he doesn't care if he lives of dies himself.

2) Alternately, based on the flavor, the character is dedicated to his mission/instruction and dispassionate about the actual cause and effect of the battle he is involved in. In a sense, I suppose the end result is basically the same: the character dies (is defeated) because he just doesn't care enough about the bigger picture.

With respect to Dass Jennir (who I believe is the only official character with Dispassionate Killer), I always sort of assumed that a defeat for Jennir represented not death so much as leaving the battlefield following the realization "What have I done? I'm giving in to the dark side to do damage--and I feel nothing. I need to get away from this situation before I lose myself."

Thats always how I saw Dass Jennir. I felt it really fit the character and the end of the first story arc dealing with Bomo's family. I don't think it works quite the same for the sith knight, so i guess your 1st assumption is about as good as any explanation BlooMilk

I can bring up Lord Oderon's knights that followed him onto the battlefield wanting to embrace the void. Their berserker necessity to kill or be killed (both of which were acceptable outcomes).

Also, upon reading The Old Republic comic, the Knights were the fusion of man and machine into cold, calculating, twisted manifestation of Sith sorcery and technology.

I do like Lowie. I think he is a good representation of the character... but i think he would have been awesome in another faction. As it stands, I can't imagine a nr squad that could use him.

Just be patient. I foresee a few decent squads that use a lot of the cheaper NR Jedi after V4. And interestingly, it could be a fairly accurate Star by Star squad...

BTW, I just got a couple DS Marauders that this guy cut the arms off and reglued them so the LS was straight out. Looked pretty cool.

Probably not, but i liked the pose :). Carved out the bowcaster and shaved down the arm that was supporting the stock. Then used the hot water trick to repose the arm and hand. Cut a saber off of greivous from the clone strike starter set, and glued the arm and saber in to give him a 2 handed look. Maybe not the closest to lowie, who I believe was a younger wookiee I thought (closer to the twins age?) and probably could have used one of the smaller framed figs... but it works for its purpose and looks semi natural.

Quick note - The name "Force Bond" is being replaced with Camaraderie. We made this ability very early on, before Camaraderie had been fleshed out completely. When we went through Quality Control with this, we realized there was no need to call it Force Bond when so many other characters have the same concept with a different name. Force Bond will be saved for a later idea that is currently developing... Wink

So, for 50 points you can heal 80 damage with these two characters. Interesting...

Sith theorized that we're going to get some boosts for the NR low point jedi. i certainly hope so. I'd love to play a squad with more guys like this, but the faction just doesnt have a way to provide them with damage output yet.

It's not a theory, there is a piece that when I first saw, will be a great boon to the 20-30 pt Jedi in the NR. I don't think playtesting focused so much on that combo, though.

You did a really great job with the repose. Turned out fantastic. Is that lightsaber bronze as well?
