Now to Cyborg, I have noticed very few characters have Cyborg and that only 2 of the 13 total characters with Cyborg are V-set pieces (and both are grievous')
I realize that since Ion Gun no longer works against Cyborgs and that their is very few benefits for Droids outside of the CIS that their really isn't a good reason to give characters Cyborg anymore so I understand why Darth Maul, DWL doesn't get it.
I kinda wish we had more Cyborgs and their was some benefits to using them (and downsides) oh well it's a little late in the game to make Cyborgs good.

The bonus preview from SHNN this week was:

Geonosian Soldier with Sonic Cannon, 22/60
RM: Hoth Trooper with Atgar Cannon
Cost 17
70 hp
14 def
+6 att
30 dam
Speed 4, Forward Positioning, Heavy Weapon, Machinery, Sonic Weapon (when this character makes an attack, the target enemy and all adjacent characters to the target cannot use force powers for the rest of the turn, and all characters damaged are activated for the rest of the round), splash 20, Synchronised Fire (allies with sonic weapon who combine fire grant +6 attack instead of +4)

What do you guys think of this - there's a lot of power there for 17 points, but some obvious downsides too - especially heavy weapon, but also the low attack, and the chance to activate/damage your own pieces.

But both of the new Geonosians look strong, and we all know that Geonosian Drones are already very strong - I think there's some potential for all Geonosian squads with Poggle, a BX Spotter, and Whorm for support.

Looks awesome! I love the idea of characters that do great stuff, but has some drawbacks, if thats what this next V-set specializes in then it should be my favorite V-set yet!

It does look good. I always wanted more artillery in minis. Funny, I just made a custom like this.

I saw your custom and saw the actual stats. I couldn't comment on how close/far you were to the actual mini at that time. Just the timing was funny.

Maybe it's people being psychic or maybe it's millions of monkeys on typewriters. Maybe both.

My bet's on the monkeysLOL LOL LOL

Sad I doubt it...
Millions of monkeys on typewriters could type for billions of years and your never going to get anything intelligent.
Pretty cool that your custom was so similar to the actual V-set version, it must be like a dream come trueThumbsUp

You know a good 'bothan transmission' type spoiler we could do is reveal a V-set 7 characters name and have the community guess on what his stats, SA/CE/Force Powers are and have someone knowledgeable about the new set (like one of the guys on the team) confirm whats correct. What do you guys think?

ACA? I'm not currently familiar with that acronym, does it mean: American Counseling Association? American Camp Association? an Australian Current Affairs based television program? I guess all of the above could be considered 'unintelligent' LOL

LolLaugh If they're so offended then I will apologize, just as soon as one of them can 1. Realize I insulted their inteligence and 2. Ask me to apologize. Wink Razz

Affordable Care Act is what I am aiming for. But, those monkeys would probably read it first.

And I will stop derailing this thread any further.

I can't comment on the new set but I will say the sub-set has an awesome set symbol.

Offended? Probably not. But they certainly couldn't do worse randomly banging away at the typewriter than the ACA.

Totally agreed about the Executor - not much discussion on him, but he pretty much seems like the biggest game changer that's been previewed for this set so far - maybe along with 100 point Yoda who might also be a handful.

Yoda HoG will certainly make some noise this regional season I predict.

Also I'm wondering, would Force Bond work when Arca triggers Force Farsight? The free movement with FL before a piece activates could be very strong but I'm not sure about the sequencing there. Confused

Not 100% sure, but I think it would - Leap does not specify the character's own turn. You would declare it just before moving the character(s) on Arca's turn.
