FlyingArrow wrote:Part of the fun is finding things on your own. If subfactions only play with each other, part of that is taken away. For example, General Leia's boosts only work in a Resistance-pure squad, but there no Rival on any of the Resistance pieces. You can look for ways to use Han and Chewie somewhere else or boost Rey with Maz Kanata. They're probably best with Leia, but the pieces are there to find new synergies. Well said. I would add SKILL to the fun part. Squadbuilding is a skill, and is integral to the game. Spoonfed squads are less than ideal, but sometimes necessary in the early beginnings of a subfaction.

I like ART, Picasso and Cezan are two of my favorite artists, oh I think you were referencing something else but I don't know what? Perhaps something from SHNN?

Perhaps so! We had 2 previews on the SHNN last night. 1 is exclusively for the listeners, but A.R.T.S. is pretty easy to find even outside of listening to the last show.

If you are referencing the antarian ranger piece that is spoiled on page one of this thread which I have an idea that you are, then maybe some others may want to go and take a look. I for one have never been a big fan of the antarian rangers, but looks like an interesting piece just not necessarily my personal cup of tea.

Scramble Signal [Replaces attacks: Until the end of the round, target non-Unique enemy cannot benefit from or grant commander effects]
I love the ability. I do not think I would ever use it in OR. Is there a trick to it that I do not see off hand? doesn't Bastila cover it?
But in NR it could be fun, but once again. to replace attacks for 18 cost just to stop 1 non-unique?
How successful/useful was it in play testing?

How successful/useful was it in play testing? It's definitely a side ability, not its main point. Turning off a deathshot or self destruct at the right moment could be key. Swap becomes harder (nail the NU that gets swapped with.) You could turn off a twigo and the squad loses GMA for a round. Mainly it's a twist on disruptive, but weaker overall since it's just one enemy, targeted, and it has to be a NU. But the twist that is stronger is that it's LoS, not range 6

Great point. Bastila does nothing vs Vong. This guy can shut down blastbugs!

Would he be able to shut down the stolen CE from the yammosk? The yammosk is NU so I would think so.

You can shut down blast bugs on a single figure (which could be the difference between living and dying) or you can shut them all down if you can target the commander. The combo of Aves forces the subcommander out to be within 6 of the Warriors. Then the A.R.T. soldier would have a better chance of targeting him. The Combo hurts blast bugs pretty bad ( you're welcome ).

Fun fact - we only have 11 characters left to spoil (a few are not on this list because they have been spoiled elsewhere . . . ) Of that 11, seven are from new material and cannon. That apparently makes people happy. Outside of that - Overlooked or ignored - TimmerB123 wrote: Also - Anyone notice the multiple direct relations between Booster's stats and his flavor text?
There are 4 direct relations in his stats to his flavor text, and one tangential relation (via a common ally). First one to list all 5 gets a personal preview!!!!

Flavor text references Booster vs. Thrawn.
1. Tenacious - Booster nerfs Opportunist, which hurts Mitth'rawn 2. Rival - Can't be in a squad with Thrawn. 3. Bravado - fits Booster's character, and he costs 31, so if it comes to it, he can use Bravado against both Thrawns 4. Commander Effect - Makes it more dangerous to use Thrawn swap. 5. His Camaraderie boosts Mirax Terrik, his daughter and Corran Horn's wife - Booster's flavor text is a quote from Corran.

(I also would have accepted the tertiary effect of interdict hurting Pellaeon's CE, who is a frequent ally of Thrawn) Personal preview for CorellianComedian!!!

There were some really exciting pieces previewed at the WI regional. In fact - every one that attended got a pair of professionally printed promo cards of the previews (I'll post pics of them next week), and I sent everyone stats of an additional preview of their choice. See - even more advantages to attending events! That said - there is still another exciting preview from last week's SHNN! Someone listen and find out - post the stats here. It's a really fun piece that I am excited about. Can't wait to see what people think.
