It will be good to get a new Lucien Draay, Better stats Abilities (plus L Defense for the Exile's CE!) and a great covenant boosting CE.
All for only 9 points more then the original? Awesome! Although I don't care for Push 3 ThumbDown Everything else on him is Amazing! I am so excited for himBigGrin
Vestara Khai is a good lower costed sith Melee Really like her Shikkar SA. Lost Tribe hmm...
It's about time we got a new Quinlan Vos! (his other versions were such a let down to me...)

An auto 40 damage on the move paired with Darth Caedus SL' Sith Battle Manipulation will be so tough. It's wrong, is what it is. Wrong, but sooo right.

My thoughts exactly. She is really cool. And as they pointed out on the show she is a great swap option for Revan. He runs a bunch, swaps her in she double missles or flamthrowers and flies away (or wins Init and does it again)

Oh and that is gonna be nasty.

You don't know the true power of the Wrong Side!

stats suck though...

Yeah his stats are terrible, but he has so much cool tech for the vong (and especially working well with Quorreal) that I think he is a steal. And as they mention on the show, if you can grab swap with the War Coordinator he is a great early swap piece. Oh look now my scary Warmaster is half way across the map.

Look at how close she resembles Jango, BH and their cost difference. How times change.

Totally agree, considering Tarpals came out 5 years ago, and his CE basically does the same thing.

Yeah, it's actually exactly the same thing and worded the same way ("May use 2 abilities that replace attacks instead of 1 on her turn") .That way we can actually use it on Fringe and Republic characters and it won't stack with Tarpals, since it specifies that you can use 2 abilities as opposed to 1 additional ability. It's similar to the difference between Double Attack and Extra Attack.

I really like both of these characters. I agree that Overload has been a long time coming, and I think Shae is the perfect character for it. It's been tossed around before as an idea for a Boba Fett, which might still happen in the future, but Shae has all the cool different weapons and gadgets that makes it work perfectly for her with Flamethrower and Missiles. Auto damage is always very powerful, but once she's within 6 squares to use her Flamethrower she'll die pretty quickly for 32 points. Even if you lose her immediately after, though, it won't be unusual to get her value out of her with just 1 turn of the double Flamethrower.

I actually think the Praetorite Scout is going to be a top tier piece for Vong. For one thing, as was mentioned, it works amazingly well if you steal swap, making it a soft deterrent to people playing swap. Panaka and Thrawn have been top tier since the moment they were released, and this is a small tip of the meta against them. It's not nearly enough to take those pieces out of competitive play, but this is a nice disincentive. Besides that, though, movement has always been one of the issues for Vong since they're so melee heavy, so a really cheap Pathfinder that is tough to kill should be very useful.

Whoops, sorry I just borrowed the wording from Unleashed, I'll edit my post for it to match Tarpal's CE :)

The Praetorite Vong Scout sucks

I know you get a lot for 9 points, but can say I would not use him. It would just be a waste of 9 points

Shae Vizla on the other hand is exceptional, Why cart we have a Vong like her?

I'd say he's at least a good option for Reinforcements with Supreme Overlord Quorreal.

Exactly, cloaked recon who helps Quorreal's activation control and can set up with FP in locations to spread Pathfinder around and ensure your Vong aren't slowed down? That is great!

Or if you put them in main squad get some nice early gambit points! I think they are great versatile little tech pieces

Or Da'Gara. A cheap pathfinder with ranged door control plus Recon to help get the Reserves.

+1

As a long time Vong player, I am really excited about this piece. Its got a lot of the things vong needed all in one 9pt piece. This guy is worth his points alone in the first round, since you can get gambit in the first round. Recon is really good for the vong and the synergy with the Advance Agent Officer is great for that cost. I love how the Vong can make a imperial swap squad think twice about how they move to their half of the map. This piece is definitely in the top 5 best pieces for the Vong faction.

I thought that it was ruled that it covers both. If not - that really is stupid.

I thought that too, I always thought it was just spreadable Stable Footing...

but from the FAQ
Pathfinder

Q: Does Pathfinder affect low objects also?
A: No.

That is kinda dumb.
