Sith Spell is potentially really strong against an unaware opponent - you could activate a lot of stuff with him if you set it up right (with Exar Kun DFS it can be Save 15).

The release date is still in February right? Do we have a confirmed date yet?

After seeing the new Luke, Shmi, and lil orphan ani, then further reveals on the bothan transmission page, i must say, this might be my favorite set yet. I'm seeing far more attention to theme than any of the other sets so far. Great job guys, can't wait to see the whole-wide stat block.

Very glad to see Shmi, young Anakin, and Owen/Beru. That probably leaves Sebulba as the largest speaking role from the movies not yet represented.

These both look awesome, IMO.
OR always feel like the blandest faction to me, with the least tricks, so anything to spice them up is cool. As they talked about in SHNN, cheapest potential mounts are:
Wampa: 13 points Nexu: 15 points Kintan Strider: 19 points K'lor'slug: 20 points
Not sure what squads worked with this guy in playtesting, but there's probably something cool somewhere.
And I think that Zann Consortium Droideka could be a real handful in OR Droid squads with Bastila and the new Bao-Dur. Maybe HK-47 to make them into tanks as well.

Love the beast tamer ability. One thing i always have requested from the vset designers was more mechanics like this for transports. I hated WoTC initial handling of vehicles (functioning as easy to hit, hard to move units). The ones that came closest to the mark were the desert skiff and the troop cart, but they are useless in todays game, and not really very good in yesterday's. Not sure how useful beast tamer actually is, but i really dig the mechanic for it. I hope we get further development on this. Something like "Mounted Combat" or the likes which grants pieces in the saddle a bonus or galloping attack (designers would know better than me) to make being mounted worth the risks.
I guess we're due for an Ep2 ani with this ability now.

I've done OK with this squad in the past. Satele gets Shields, and is hard to kill, while the IG-86's shoot everything: Quote:--Old Republic IG-86s-- 37 Satele Shan 33 Bastila Shan, Jedi Master 27 Lobot 21 Bao-Dur, Tech Specialist 51 IG-86 Assassin Droid x3 14 Old Republic Senator 5 Caamasi Noble 6 Mouse Droid x2 6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2 (200pts. 13 activations) I'd happily work one of the new Zann Consortium Droidekas into it in place of an IG-86 - it's much more survivable than the IG-86s, and Splash is really helpful as well.

Beast Tamer and Slave owner might be a fun combo, if permitted. Turning a Shyrack or Dactillion into a mount for aerial transport.

Glad you picked up on that. I was listening to last weeks SHNN (catching up), and there seemed to be some confusion on that ability. The hosts said it's pretty much just like Jedi mind trick. While there is some similarity, I think it's actually closer to being a sith sorcery lite. ALL adjacent enemies must make the roll.

I like to think of it as a Sith tapping you on the shoulder and looking surprised while pointing out the window yelling "What is that?" As the victim looks out the window, he walks away laughing. Just a funny visual image.

Beast Tamer is similar to my beast language force power. I like it- will be very interesting to turn 13 point wampas into mounts for people

Can someone say if the Sith Sphere uses a huge RM? Thanks.
