Were you playing him with a Spirit? or was he doing ok without renewal? I don't think he's ever going to survive long enough to need a Spirit. I made a bad call and levitated him into the midst of my opponent's squad for a sweep mid-round - it was an awesome sweep, but Zekk went down straight afterwards. Would have been much better to wait my opponent out, then use Force Pull to give Chewbacca and Han a clear shot at something (Momaw had already done cleanout so there was only big stuff left). You could also use Dash instead of Zekk - he fits pretty well. I don't think it's a top tier competitive build, but it was super fun. Makes sense, I forgot he only had 90 HP. Though now I want to pair him up with Anakin Solo and a few other Jedi who need renewal and defensive boosts...(bonus, they are both pilots!) But that is getting into expensive territory if you want Han Galactic Hero...then again, Zekk gets better with Jaina, bring in OG Jaina and a cheapo Han. But that is a totally different squad. Maybe it is just because I loved those books as a kid but I'd love to see Zekk, and both original Solo Twins all together. Bring in the 7pt Diplomate Leia for everyone to be protective of

I figure with Zekk, if he gets to do two big things - like a Pull then a Sweep - he'll be worth his points.
I think even with Lightsaber Defense, he has a huge target on him with all of his offensive capability - only 90hp. Lots of great New Republic stuff so far - I'll be interested to hear what tournament squads people come out with.

In the SHNN episode, it was stated that #46 was a much anticipated piece, and seeing that it is Fringe and after Sugi (#45), I am hazarding a guess that we are getting a Fringe Talon Karrde, and that this is the piece that Weeks mentioned in this series of comments: Weeks wrote:TheHutts wrote:dreadtech wrote: We have games that has a option of faction pure squads, in such games someone can be fringe only as there faction. This does not happen often but is there in our randomized games. Was just wondering if anyone else ever has fringe as a separate faction.
In New Zealand, Bev, one of our players, recently won a ranked competition game with an all fringe IG-88s squad. You could easily make it better by putting in a key faction-specific piece like R2 Astromech though. For now.....

Since Set 6 shipped out, how long will it be before we see the whole list?

The PDF will be posted on SWMResources ASAP. Right now LESHIPPY is on vacation, and he is our graphics design guy, so he is the only one with the PDF. When he gets back I'll get it from him and post it. If somebody happens to get their shipment sooner, though, they can get the scoop and post whatever they would like!

I think it was implied on SHNN that NZ might have theirs already. Just saying. ;)

No worries. I'm not trying to rush anybody, my apologies if it seemed that way :)

I was trying to do the time conversion in my head and I figured it was a bad time for most of your guys anyway but it was worth a shot I'd be interested to hear what you are excited about and general ideas for pieces you might remember off the top of your head. I was disappointed I had to leave work the other day in the middle of our chat after SHNN about Chewie, Galactic Hero.

Maybe I should covertly spoil some random SAs, FPs and CEs in the database without revealing who has them.

OK - since we have a green light, here are five things I'm excited about with the new set (and it sounds like we can post whatever we want now anyway?) - there aren't many specific spoilers here, so hopefully it's OK to post. New Zealand got ours at National Tournament last weekend, and we've been secret squirrel about it for the last week and a half. - I think overall, this and the previous v-set (Galactic Heroes) are both fantastic and are vying hard for the title of best v-set - lots of pieces that are strong enough to take to a tournament, without anything looking especially overpowered. The v-sets have really got into a good rhythm now, and are making quality product consistently. Thanks to all of the people involved! - Lots of great pieces in the 30ish point range. I think we've already seen the majority of them in previews - Zekk, Chewbacca GH, Aayla Secura, Shae Viszla, and Assaj, although maybe there are one or two more lurking around. I think it's a nice price point where they can be good support pieces for 200 point squads, and mix up different squad options. - Conversely, the Separatists got a bunch of pieces in the 55-70 point range (I think there are four Separatist uniques in this price bracket), where they didn't have much previously. I haven't really got my head around them, but I think at least one or two will be really strong. - I think there'll be some sweet new squad types - there's the much vaunted all-Fringe squad. There's also potential for some new Vong builds that will be different, and I think Old Republic get some competitive new options based around melee pieces. - Thereisnotry's GenCon winner's piece looks terrific. It's a piece that's been requested frequently, and I think it's probably going to see some top table play.

I didn't even realize that you guys have had them for so long! Definitely spoil whatever you want, full stats if you would like. I just PM'ed Swinefeld with the go ahead to flip the switch here on Bloomilk while we wait for the PDF. I figure since some people are already getting all the stats might as well let everyone see them.
Glad you're liking it so far, though!

#46 is Talon Kardde ;)
I don't know all the stats off the top of my dome, but he is AWESOME
And, spoiling this is probably the coolest thing I've ever done!
32 pts Fringe
80 18??? 11 20
Mobile attack Disruptive My pets from mykyr( gets ysalamiri if your squad is only fringe)
Commander effect
If your squad only has fringe characters, allies get +4 and +10
Once per round a follower can immediately move up to its speed
The official wording is not this.. But that is what he does.
He. Is. Awesome.

I'm impressed you remembered all that off the top of your head Sharron! Although checking the card, his defense is 17, and that CE is after initiative.
Vehicle #8/12 - Grievous on Tsmau-B Wheel Bike 130 HP 20 def +11 att 30 dam
Unique, Cyborg, Double, Speed 8 Damage Reduction 10 Galloping Attack Mounted Weapon Vehicle - at the end of his turn, you may replace this character with a Medium character of equal or lesser cost who counts as Grievous. The replacement character starts with damage equal to the damage currently on this character, and is considered activated this round. Wall Climber
CE - Non-Unique droids followers within 6 squares gain Double Attack.

But.... his pets were vornskrs...
Awesome piece though 8-)
*EDIT*
About Grievous, is it my understanding that once you activate Vehicle and bring in a Grievous piece, he can't get back on the bike?
