So, what happens if the opposite of my initial question occurs. A Death Watch Saboteur rolls a 1 for its initial attack, can he still use Pre's CE to reroll the attack or is he immediately switched to the other squad due to internal strife?
when I was looking through the FAQ it says you can use Force Points to reroll immediately after making an attack, but I wasn't sure if CEs that provide rerolling occur at the same time.

Rerolls always happen before any result of that roll is applied. This is covered in the Resolving Effects section of the FAQ.
