Qui-Gon Jinn, Legacy of the Force saber1
Great TPM version of this character. Respite is excellent, similar as to what I was trying for, but you got here first. Good boost for the early Republic Kenobis.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master Deathweilded
Good stats. Meditate is very nice, Ataru Stamina seems overly complex , how about just GMA, ignores enemies, low objects and difficult terrain. Then you have the fact that he couldn’t use Ataru against Maul, to its full extent, because of the confined space/difficult terrain. Maverick plus the CE are great.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Teacher harryg
Another good TPM vision! VS and FB (maybe have ‘…until the end of the skirmish’?) are nice. Twin. LS and Anticipation are great together. Get in, get messy, get killed and boost your other Force user.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi Lord Ball
Nice and cheap, Mettle to boost. FA is nice on an under 30 piece. I find the mix of WtS and Defiant odd. Perhaps you should have the choice other than an automatic trigger? Then the cost would change a lot, so it’s well balanced.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Unorthodox Jedi pegolego
Solid beat stick, if used well. GMA, double, twin, potential +8 boost. A good representation. I’d have maybe dropped his HP to 100 to lower his cost. Empathy is good!

Qui Gon Jinn, Jedi Escort CorranHornsux123
The CE is a peach. Cam, Affin & Syn are nice touches, makes him feel like the mentor figure. Nice selection of FPs too.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Defiant Jedi CerousMutor
I wanted a type of auto defence, representing the moment in the planet core with the gooberfish. Meditative Assault represents his directness and his battle with Maul, throws everything at the big attack but can quickly get taken down with no real defence, Agg-Neg to help this work. CE to help the poor forgotten Republic characters and is direct defiance, forthright side

Deathwielded, Rogue Jedi Master: 8.5
An interesting Approach this is... Deflection as his only Defensive ability is rather underwhelming.

harryg, Jedi Teacher: 8.5
My biggest dislike here is Force Spirit + Force Essence. Pairing those with Valiant Sacrifice and that's a lot of bonuses from a dead guy.

Pegolego, Unorthodox Jedi: 9
No custom abilities packaged together for a broad reaching Qui-Gon, pehaps a bit overcosted though.

CorranHornsux123, Jedi Escort: 8.5
Would have preferred at least the Synergy to be less specific, as is Your Obi-wan he's meant to be paired with gains +4/+4 and FR1 making a very strong defensive Dynamic Duo (Which I'm guessing was the goal). A bit too specific for my taste though.

CerousMutor, Defiant Jedi: 9
There's always a bigger fish is a neat defensive ability - save 6 definitely keeps it from being overpowered. Meditative Assualt is also pretty cool - strong, but also eaily preventable, if you can't out activate your opponent.
FYI: You have a stray "Greater" in your CE.

saber1, Legacy of the Force: 9
I like a lot of what you have here, Only thing I don't really care for is Force Essence (and this goes for the others that used the ability as well) - to me Qui-gon is more of a Force Spirit character, as outside of the Mortis storyline in the CW his Spirit version is only present as a line of text at the end of Episode 3, and for me that's just not enough to warrant him being brought into play upon death.

Vote: saber1

Note: I added "each" to the CE of mine to clarify intent

harryg's Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Teacher Intuition is great for qui-gon (I put it on mineThumpUp) Valiant Sacrifice seems like too much of a bonus to me, imagine if used a character with twin (the new aayla) but I could be wrong. Force bond looks good a first, but then I noticed that it is limited to the less used, weaker version of Obi-wan padawan. Twin Attack and Assault shows the all out aggressive attacks that Ataru prefers. Force Spirit 4 and Force Essence are great, but I'm not a fan of giving Qui-gon Lightsaber Defense for personal beliefs about Qui-gon (though I won't hold it against this character) cost looks good for the character so all in all I'm giving him an 8.5
Lord_Ball's Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi A lower cost flavor Qui-gon. Force Alter and Mettle fit great for flavor (changing the outcome) Defiant seems like it will need clearing up in the future, but I understand it. The commander effect probably won't see much use, but I can just imagine using him with the New mace so whenever he Crits he gets two additional attacks! Read above for Lightsaber Defense. 8.75
pegolego's Qui-Gon Jinn, Unorthodox Jedi Empathy is great for him, Greater Mobile Attack fits awesome with Ataru Style Mastery (both in game and flavor wise!) I read your explanation for why he has Lightsaber Defense and find it acceptable. Force Heal 30 is an interesting choice (explanes were Obi picked it upWink ) A good strong beat 9.5
CorranHornsux123's Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Escort There is a LOT on this version, I'm also not a fan of giving Anakin Aggressive Negotiations (fits great on qui-gon though) lets what until we get a kid Ani before we start boosting him Wink. CE has alot of text, but gives a great benifit for the Republic (cool flavor text!) I don't think Qui-gon was quite that good with Mind tricks... Alot of Synergy, alot of text, if he was slimmed down (drop MotF2, MT3, Synergy, Camaraderie, staring fps and drop cost accordingly) nI would give him a great rating. as is 8.5
CerousMutor's Qui-Gon Jinn, Defiant Jedi Force Alter, Aggressive Negotiations, (these go great together!) Force Essence, and Ataru Style Mastery all fit great on him. "There's always a bigger fish" probably doesn't need the "" marks, looks cool like a stronger version of Evade plus helps adjacent allies, plus works great with AN. Meditative Assualt needs some text changed, "AssAUlt" and Replaces Turn instead of replaces this characters turn this round. as for his CE what is Greater Master of the Force 2? I'm sure you can find a better CEWink especially since he doesn't get MotF2 himself. No Lightsaber Defense? Yay!ThumbsUp 9
saber1's Qui-Gon Jinn, Legacy of the Force Force Bond looks great (love the Obi-wan love!) Intuition great! as is Force Respite, Force Alter with MotF2 could be interesting. Again I'm not a fan of Lightsaber Defense (especially with MotF2) cool character I like how Intuition works great with ASM that coupled with Cin giving GMA will give him a great chance to get of Double/Twin plus add a new Lightsaber style and Gui-gon is cookin!Woot 9.25
Deathwielded's Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master no comment

Pego's gets my vote this week though Saber1's was a close second.

Yep Vote and don't forget to rate the characters. Otherwise I can't count this as an actual "vote" and your character would be disqualified (I don't want that to happen!)

Will do, thanks DW! Also, up to 8 entries this week; we're getting back up there!

If I win, I'm thinking about the possibility of a non-Unique, but I don't think that would work too well for this contest (usually they don't have enough abilities to really pick between you know, or they have too many for the cost).

Qui-Gon Jinn, Legacy of the Force by saber1
No comment.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master by Deathwielded
Deflection, Maverick, Meditate and the CE are all high points. Ataru Stamina would benefit greatly from being simplified. I would like to see more synergy to represent his mentoring. 9

Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Teacher by harryg
I don't feel Qui-Gon is a "Twin Attack" kind of guy. Additionally, Force Spirit and Force Essence probably shouldn't be paired together. Force Bond and Valiant Sacrifice are highlights here. 9

Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi by Lord Ball
I like the basic formula of a strong, simple and inexpensive Qui-Gon. Unfortunately, the cost of 29 hampers the potential of the CE and the Willing to Serve/Defiant combo seem could have been down in a much simpler way that would have allowed for another (useful) ability. 8.5

Qui-Gon Jinn, Unorthodox Jedi by pegolego
Other than ASM there isn't much "wow" factor. Probably overpriced when compared to Luke Sywalker, Galactic Hero (another ASM/GMA character). Everything else looks solid. 9

Qui Gon Jinn, Jedi Escort by CorranHornsux123
I'm not sold on the Anakin Camaraderie but I like the other synergies. Lightsaber Protection and the CE are the highlights here. 58 points is a lot to spend on a very defensive character with only 60 damage. However, he does bring a lot of tricks to the squad. 8.5

Qui-Gon Jinn, Defiant Jedi by CerousMutor
Ataru Style Mastery concerns me when coupled with Aggressive Negotiations and Meditative Assault. 160 damage output for 48 points seems excessive especially with the protection of AN. There's Always a Bigger Fish is a great ability though the name is a little goofy. The CE is very intriguing and on its own I really like MA. 8.5

My vote goes to Deathwielded. A special thanks to harryg for his comments on my entry prior to voting. Much appreciated!

Alright, my entries for the week:

Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Teacher (harryg) 9
A nice version of Qui-Gon Jinn. I think all the basics are there, and you represent the era well. I'm not sure about Anticipation/Intuition/Essence/FS4 all on one piece; I think one or two would cover that area more cleanly.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi (Lord Ball) 9
Another pretty good Qui-Gon. The Willing To Serve/Defiant relationship is interesting, and would be fun to play I think. Low cost, but still very Qui-Gon. Nice job!

Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Escort (CorranHornsux123) 8
I like the ability selection on this Qui-Gon, but I'm going to have to stick with my former comment that this one just has too much going on; to many abilities/too much text. I also worry that you can boost some pretty high-cost Anakins with Aggressive Negotiations, but I guess that can't be much of a problem given Qui-Gon's cost. A very powerful Qui-Gon if used correctly.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Defiant Jedi (Cerous Mutor) 8
Meditative Assault is interesting. I like it, though I am concerned about it's interaction with Aggressive Negotiations. It seems you could (in most cases) choose a target and wait around until an opportune time and deal enough damage to usually eliminate it (disregarding Ambush/IaT!/Backlash, of course).

Qui-Gon Jinn, Legacy of the Force (saber1) 9
Nice usage of the LotF label. Force Bond is helpful here. Intuition is nice with ASM, but not overpowered on this piece I think (Force Respite might have made it so, but it does cost 3 Force to use). I think he might be a bit much with Force Essence though. Overall I really like this Qui-Gon.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master (Deathwielded) 9
Ataru Stamina is an interesting Force power. Intuition coupled with Surprise Attack is nice. Handing out Intuition (but only to lower-cost pieces, so not broken imo) is a nice bonus, though I'm not sure about at the expense of all other CE's. I like this Qui-Gon a lot though!

Anyway, sorry I'm so stingy with 10's for the purpose of this contest!

My vote goes to Deathwielded, but saber1's entry made it a difficult decision.

Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Teacher, harryg- Mine. No comment
Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi, Lord Ball- nice, lots of abilities that are extremely accurate to the character especially Defiant, but I think it's undercosted some. 8
Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Escort, Corranhornsux123- a good qui-gone my only complaint is that i think it revolves a bit to much around that obi. 8
Qui-Gon Jinn, Defiant Jedi, Cerous Mutor- Very good, nice attacker who can put out a ton of damage, has a nice commander effect, and TAABF is a very cool ability. 9
Qui-Gon Jinn, Legacy of the Force, saber1- very nice, some help for the lesser used obis as well as a good beat stick-9.5
Qui-Gon Jinn, unorthodox Jedi, pegolego- a good piece, the only thing I find out of the ordinary is empathy. It doesn't seem very quiggy-ish to me. 9
Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master, Deathwielded- all the abilities fit nicely, he helps your team a ton, boosts a lot of old Jedi, and is overall just a good character. 10
My vote goes to deathwielded, but saber1 gets honorable mention

Well I'm glad to see we have got some more entries this week!

holding up the rear in 6th place we got CorranHornsux123's Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Escort 8.5,8.5,8.5,8,8 for an average of 8.3

Lord_Ball's Qui-Gon Jinn, Insightful Jedi 8.75,9,8.5,9,8 for an average of 8.65

coming into 4th place: CerousMutor's Qui-Gon Jinn, Defiant Jedi 9,9,9,8.5,8,9 for an average of 8.75

sliding into 3rd place we have: harryg's Qui-Gon Jinn, Jedi Teacher 8.5,8.5,9,9,9 for an average of 8.8

holding his own in 2ndwe have: pegolego's Qui-Gon Jinn, Unorthodox Jedi 9.5,9,9,9,9 for an average of 9.1 BlooMilk BlooMilk

Then for first place we have a tie folks! Between
saber1's Qui-Gon Jinn, Legacy of the Force 9.25,9,9,9,9.5 BlooMilkfor an average of 9.15 which is the highest rated and gets 2 more BlooMilk BlooMilk for a total of 3!

And:

Deathwielded's Qui-Gon Jinn, Rogue Jedi Master 8.5,9,9,9,10 for an average of 9.1 BlooMilk BlooMilk BlooMilk

Who will be the tie breaker? I say either CerousMutor (since he didn't vote or rateSneaky ) or me and Saber1 split this next weeks CCC into 2 with one character being unique and the other being a non-unique (to give it a try since several people requested it) or we could just both agree on a character Razz
