Octa Ramis by Deathwielded 9
Nice cheaper support Jedi and Pilot follower, Override is always nice especially on a melee piece. Helps her get where she needs to go or stay safe.

Octa Ramis, Jedi Ace by poppins88 9
Aggressive Strategy is very cool for those times the NR needs that third activation. Counterattack and Surprise Attack with Twin is just nasty. I can't remember where I said it (either last week in this thread or on a piece) but I'm still unsure how I feel about Camaraderie handing out abilities to large groups as opposed to Specific pieces...I understand the appeal and I'm not saying it is bad I'm just still trying to figure out what I think about it.

Octa Ramis, Jedi by Lord_Ball 8.5
I find her undercosted, not necessarily for her abilities but her stat line. Force 5 is way too high for a piece under 20 points. The Lowest point 5 Force piece is Vergere at 30. HP and attack both seem high, especially with her boost to attack. Natural Gregarious seems a bit of a waste since Pilots get it from Jagged anyway. But she could fill the role of a great support Jedi if a few things were toned down (I don't even mind the attack since she only has one, but I do think that 60-70 HP 4 FP would just be a little more palatable, at least to me.)

Octa Ramis, High Council Member by Gungan Batman Clone 9
I like intuition for pilots and I'm glad you took off Levitation, it makes her unique instead of a Ganner Replacement, And she gives out a different movement breaker for Pilots, sort of a Resolnare in a way. Plus I didn't think of until now all that Intution+Levitation might have been way too much. Don't think you need the second part of the CE at all, she is good without it.

Octa Ramis, Kyp's Dozen Ace by General Grievous 8.5
Still think she is way too cheap for what she does. Giving out Pilot+A Movement breaker that, while defensive and limited, is going to trigger enough that it might be too much.

Octa Ramis, Jedi by Saber1 9.5
Here is where I wasn't sure about Camraderie. Still not but again I see the appeal. Overall a nice quick piece who boosts pilots with some Squad Firepower which is always nice. Especially since she also essentially makes all Pilots the same name.

Master Octa Ramis, Jedi pegolego Ace 9.5
The Beefiest of all the entries and I like it. She is nice and strong with some cool options. As a Pilot Follower that speed 8 backlash + Evade is going to be nice for to take some folks out though getting a damage boost for her will be important. I do think for her cost you probably could have given her Renewal OR MotF2 (not necessarily both.)

Vote this week is hard between saber1 and Pegolego...I'm gonna go with Pegolego

@Deathwielded - I must admit, I didn't see that she could get out so many attacks. However, I also attempted to balance the four attack offense with 0 Defensive Powers. By the time she gets close enough to Counterattack, at least half her HP will likely be gone, meaning she will only be able to do it one or twice. Suprise Attack and LS Assault can also never be used in a round together without MOTF 2 which she doesn't have and I don't believe she can get. Also, most of the Unique NR Jedi at a cost lower than this one (which did influence my costing to probably be a bit lower than it should) are not very powerful or played often (except for Leia, JK).

I'm not discounting what you said, just providing my rationale for doing what I did. Sorry if it came across as rude or disrespectful, I just wanted to explain my thoughts a little bit.

I think your forgetting that you can spend force points once per TURN not once per round, so you can use surprise Attack at the beginning of the round then use her assault on her turn. Yes her Lower hp and attack helps to balance her out, not to mention she starts with 4 fp's. Even considering all of that I still think she's undercosted. Maybe just not as much as I did before.

Sorry if I'm coming off as hostile I just wish I had commented on your character sooner to help before we had to vote.

Well there's a pleasant surprise. Woot Once I saw 2 people each with 2 votes I thought I was out of it for sure. If its any consolation, AH, I voted for you and thought you had this week in the bag.

As for next week, I have some ideas. However, the mischievous part of me keeps circling back to a fan favorite. He (second clue) has several versions already but there is still plenty of room for this incredibly talented bunch to bring a fresh take to the character. I shall ponder and consult with Deathwielded.

Thank you to all for your feedback and vote.

Thanks BigGrin I was pleasantly surprised at how I did, I wasn't the most familar with Octa so I'm glad I hit on things that make sense. And I'm glad I stuck with Fire Support Mission!

One of my choices may, or may not, have Skywalker in the name. I'm just sayin'.

Congratulations, on another fine win saber1!

As for my entry, I'm rather shocked and appreciative to have obtained even 2nd...

I was slightly disappointed by my own entry when I looked back at it, mostly because I realized that I had grossly overcosted it. That said, I felt I accomplished everything I wanted to. Octa Ramis, as I realized while trying to design, has some interesting character points, but not enough traits, it seemed, that didn't have obvious ability matches. I tried to give as much flavor AND depth (without adding an INSANE amount of abilities, but several), and go for a higher cost version. This was so (I hoped) my entry would stand out in what I predicted to be several pieces more lower-cost, simple, support oriented (which, of course, is not a bad thing at all, I just, as I said, wanted mine to hopefully stand out).

I am glad that it was received as well as it was, and that you guys were so merciful with my overcosting! LOL

Anyway, thanks everyone, and congratulations again saber1, can't wait to see your choice! BlooMilk

Also, this isn’t one of the characters that springs to mind when I think of “Gregarious”.

Gregarious was chosen to avoid her having 2 synergy abilities so not only does she boost her allies, but she gets a boost from them as well - working together as a more cohesive squad.
