I think the confusion is "When does it happen" vs. "How long does it last." No "Official" piece has ever rebuilt a door before, and so there is no "Official-sounding" terminology to use... like how there is technically no game term for "Destroyed" doors, they are just considered to be open for the rest of the skirmish...

I took rebuild door to mean that at the end of the round, the chosen door is considered "rebuilt" for the rest of the skirmish.

My mistake; yes, it is considered to be rebuilt/repaired and an official door at the end of the round. When I made this guy years and years ago it always bothered me that doors seemed to be such an obstacle. Satchel Charges blow doors? Why can't you repair/rebuild them? You can repair/rebuild Droids/machines (I'm still bothered by Jedi being stopped by doors. Shouldn't happen but that's another story.)

WOW! I was not expecting this much variety! This is great! Good job everyone!

Kamikaze13: Rebel Cargo Supplier
Very nice! Having a character with "Shield Supplies" with me in a battle would be awesome!

Naarkon: Bothan Infintrator (Is that supposed to be "Infiltrator"? just noticed that now...)
Ahh... Like CC said: This is beautiful! I've played BF2 a few times, and this just fits so well! I would totally use this!

>Jase<: Rebel Sniper
This is like the perfect sniper! All the SAs fit, and I really like "Intuition" for getting him into a good firing position without losing his attack/damage bonus.

CerousMutor: Bothan Interceptor
This is awesome! His abilities remind me of a jacked up mouse droid sort of. I like how cheap (in a good way) he is so he's easy to fit into a squad! Not sure how I feel about him being immediately defeated after using "Signal Interceptor"

jak: Battle Field Med Droid
Ho Ho YES! This piece is SO COOL! All this healing power for only 16 points is awesome! "Medical Pack" is cool!

Caedus: LV-38 Spotter Droid
This is pretty awesome! Good price. Adding a few of these to a squad to help take down some key enemies would be a very big help!

CorellianComedian: Rebel Extraction Specialist
This is cool! These abilities fit so perfectly! I like "Cover fire"! And "Grappling hook" would be a royal pain for your opponent, and make it a NIGHTMARE for your him to try to get anything useful done during a game!

Surf_Rider56:
This a great support piece! I like "Traps" and "Proximity Mines"! They make him useful even when he's not needed for door repair/destruction!

My votes are:

1st: Naarkon (3pts)

2nd: Jak (2pts)

3rd: CorellianComedian (1pt)

Well done all!

Wow. Good pieces!

surf_rider56's Rebel Combat Engineer: Excellent piece, and very flavorful. Traps, Prox Mines Stealth are all nice features. Rebuild Door is awesome. There's also an interesting element to it happening at the end of the round: your opponent can't outactivate you and re-blow it. I like his low attack and damage - he can shoot or combine fire when he's got nothing else to do. I think he's also pretty much perfectly costed. He really feels like an engineer.

Naarkon's Bothan Infiltrator: I still cannot express how awesome this piece is. The piece really is nice and simple, but effective. Incinerator is great! With the BF Bothan, it's tempting to go with something like Flamethrower or just a regular attack with Splash 10, but Incinerator captures the weapon nicely. It's powerful, but not overpowered since he's fragile at close range (I like how he can also roast a Domain Lah Warrior in one hit BigGrin). Also, Invisibility + Prox Mines is a cool combo. I like how you have the option of parking behind allies and bombing things, or running in and toasting them. Would be a terrifying swarm to face LOL.

Kamikaze12's Rebel Cargo Supplier: Another great tech piece. I love the options he gives: I am a huge fan of Flak Shield. MOVE! is a hilarious ability, and a nice option without being overpowered. Lift is also a good feature - although for some reason I'm envisioning him dragging around some sort of small loading crane. Again, he feels like what he is - a support piece who can shoot if need be, but he's really only there to make your other pieces better.

>Jase<'s Rebel Sniper: Nice piece! The Rebels needed a good sniper. As a huge Bothan Commando fan, I'm not sure how I feel about them being so thoroughly outclassed (but Bothan Commandos aren't owning the game right now, so what do I know? Tongue). Nice list of abilities - although looking at it today, I think it might be on the undercosted side. Although it doesn't help balance (Twin from a Rebel Captain), I think Trooper was a great call. I also like the high Careful Shot in exchange for low base attack.

CerousMutor's Bothan Interceptor: Man, nothing does a custom contest good like epic Bothans. Signal Interceptor is great, but balanced by the sight restriction and the fact that he dies at the end of the round (I'm still not sure why - does the enemy figure out what's going on and kill him?). If nothing else, Relay Orders with Intuition is nice to have around. I like how Intuition and Signal Interceptor work together, too.

jak's Battle Field Med Droid: Very well done. It looks like a lot of SA's at first, but four of them (Melee, Droid, Speed 8, Alert) are more ambient descriptors than abilities that drive the cost up. I like the multiple options for healing - Heal for tanks, Med Pack for your groups, and Scan is just icing. Heal 10 usually isn't very necessary, but it's cool to have a droid flying around handing out first-aid kits to allies.

Caedus's LV-38 Spotter Droid: Great piece! I used to use combined fire all the time, and this piece is great for it. It's tough enough that it won't be worth your opponent's time to try and take it down, and while they're busy coming, you're boosting your damage output by 20-40. Not sure what Advanced Spotting was for, but it's a nice piece either way.

Lafcadio's Deep Cover Sniper: Now this is a sniper. I like how you just totally skipped Careful Shot/Deadeye and went for super-high Attack and high Damage with Heavy Weapon. Forward Positioning, Recon and Cloaked really give it the feel that most snipers lack - he's already been on the battlefield for a while, and he's been watching the enemy set up and move forward. 70 HP is high for a sniper, but fits the piece - you don't want him getting owned by a Lancer before he can do anything. The piece almost feels like an experienced First-Person Shooter player with a Sniper Rifle.

Really hard to rank these:

1st Place (3 pts): Lafcadio - the total commando-ness is just awesome.

2nd Place (2 pts): Naarkon - like I said before, it's beautifully simple, but a great piece.

3rd Place (1 pt): surf_rider56 - he's extremely tech-focused, but amazingly versatile.

I like how so many of the pieces can be used multiple ways depending on the circumstances. They're versatile, but well-costed, so you can bring one along and get good use out of it, even if you use it for wildly different purposes each time.

Life indeed; hope your wife is doing better.

In the meantime, CerousMutor is the only vote not in yet. As of right now, we have Jak with 9 points, CC & I at 7 points, and a 3 way tie at 6 points between Kamikaze, Naarkon, & Lafcardio (if my math hasn't totyally gone to H3ll.)

Sorry for that late votes, work kicking my behind.
So many great pieces though, never managed to get a right up for each, apologies for that.

Gutted I ran out of time to change mine. Should have dropped the "defeated at end of turn" bit.

CC - It was for flavor, you were right...Comedian...tell them you were right.
Essentilay him being caught and killed but in actuality it nulled him.

Seems to be the week to have everything hit the walls at once. But as Caedus said, "Life Happens."

In the meantime, we seem to have a tie between me an Jak for first. Suggestions people, possibly a "joint decision" on what to do?

Hmmm... maybe the rest of us re-vote on which one we like better between the two? OR (I haven't looked to see what the results of this would be): We could say that whoever got more 1st-place votes wins? (or if an equal number of 1sts, then whoever got more 2nds?)

What about rule #7?
The person with the highest Bloo milk rating, get 2 bonus points.

That should give me the win.

Interestingly enough, I don't care if I win but I never understood #7 as such.

We both have 9 points. You got 4 votes, with a 3 and 3 2's (by CC's way you win.) Fair enough.
I got a 3, 2 2's and 2 1's; does #7 mean because I got 5 votes to your 4 I win?

Personally, since I've won once I'm good with you taking it Jak. Cool

thanx,Surfer-DudeWub
so the rules are the same.
and this week's character is a Sith, that hasn't been made by WotC, or Vset.
it must contain 1 totally unique Special Ability, Force Power, or Commander Effect.(made up by you)
Let's see how imaginative we can be.
