It was a priceless minis moment for sure... and who were you facing who didn't shoot him right off the bat? A better player than I am. (generally) It's not always so simple. Corruption 4 is "replaces attacks", so careful approach tactics go a long way. I think it was a Fantastic Four match. edit: but this is getting off-topic, so enough on that. :)

Revan for sure! He united the Sith Empire and waged a war that Decemated the Republic. Sidious had someone else do all his durty work while he just sat around. Not much presense there and he can't even use a lightsaber well.

Lucifer and Brennan both know what they are talking about! If you were to put Bane in a room with Palpatine, lock the door. Open it 10 minutes later, well, lets just say that Palps isn't coming out of that room, maybe his smoldering cloak would, and possibly the ash that was once his body. Bane says- "Heh, he started talking about unlimited power, and I showed him a trick."

Then he'd convert Bane to the light side just so he could turn him to the dark side again and make him his pupil and send him to do his bidding.

So true, BTW I know this is gonna come up so Ill just adress it now: If Bane was so powerfull how did he get beat by some blonde chick? Well firstly he trained her for that, second she did so well because she attacked him in a way that did not let him use to many of his strengths, and third I dont think she defeated him anyway, and that hes still living in her body! (also I think I would find it hard to kill a blonde chick like that anyway) ;)

Sidious is arguably the most successful Sith. Here are a few notable examples why:
1) His ability to hide in plain sight of the the Jedi Council. Being able to cloud the visions and senses of powerful Jedi Masters like Yoda and Mace Windu, even face to face is something no other Sith would be able to achieve. It's like that quote from The Usual Suspects "The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he never existed."
2) Splitting the galaxy down the middle in a civil war, however controlling both sides is something no other Sith could engineer. Most Sith attacked the Republic straight on, but in true Sith fashion, Sidious used cunning and subterfuge to bring the galaxy to its knees.
3) Was the master of 3 notable Sith. Maul, Tyrannus and Vader are all great Sith in their own right. But in the end, they all bowed down to their Master, whom they knew was far more powerful. All the while, Sidious used them as pawns in his conquest and destruction of the Jedi Order.
4) Fought Jedi Grand Master Yoda to a draw (perhaps winning, depending on your point of view). Yoda was the most powerful Jedi of his time however even his abilities were not enough to vanquish the Sith Lord. It was enough to send Palpatine's "little green friend" into self imposed exile. Taking such a powerful piece out of the game was crucial in Sidious's plan and he did it single-handily.
While Bane created the Rule of Two, Sidious employed it to his greatest advantage. Revan was a great warrior, however like another post pointed out, was ultimately redeemed.
Despite all of his machinations and power, just like all Sith, he was defeated by the Jedi!

Vader, of course. Tyranus took out Ani and Obi-Wan and fought Yoda to a draw, so I'll grant you that one. But what evidence is there to say Maul was great? He was killed by a padawan, after all. (Incidentally, is Yoda overrated? He couldn't beat Tyranus or Sidious.)

you were correct before #4. Yoda wasnt the greatest jedi of his time, that was Mace. Mace merely let Yoda be Grand Master while Mace was more suoted to being a GeneralYoda was the equivalent of an 87 year old or higher (if you calxulate out when he died vs human lifespans) and sied at 90 in human years. He just lost all his friends in the order, And was facing a far younger opponent on his terms. if Yoda was in his prime I have no doubt he would have won.

The title of "Grand Master" is used to recognize the leader of the Order. Mace Windu, who was never the Grand Master, held the title of "Master of the Order" which is bestowed upon the head of the Jedi High Council, which he did pass onto Yoda. So, it would seem to me that the Head of the Jedi Council would ultimately answer to the head of the entire Order. Hence my reasoning of stating that Yoda was the greatest Jedi of his time, certainly Mace coming in a close second. Lucas has even stated before Ep. II we will see why Yoda is "the master". But this discussion is about Sith, not the Jedi. Someone can start that poll, but the answer to the question is obviously Luke.

Although Bane is confirmed to be the Sith'ari, Sidious is also (at least on the 'pedia) confirmed to be the most powerful Dark Lord of the Sith, so Sidious. The main problem with "power polls" is that all these guys come from different genres. Sidious/Vader/Maul have movies, Krayt has comics, Bane has books, Revan and Sion have a video game series, and Plageuis is mentioned in passing. Unless they all are given an even field to duke it out on (or Lucas straight out says it), it's entirely up to easily sway able opinion. Now that that's out...Sidious.

That would be so cool - someone should invent a game where there are little figures that represent each Sith Lord and they get appropriate stats and fight it out on a board that has a cool map.

I will wait till after Legacy: War before coming up with a final conclusion. Krayt seems to have gone up a few levels.
