Much like the EU. See: Waru. I agree with Sithborg, you know what, itd's good to have something Star Wars every weekend and guys why so serious ... chilled. Anything canon can be reverse and vice versa . ... better tag line would have "HAN. SHOT. FRIST."

The Clone Wars have had some gems. There is no doubt. The movie was a stinker though. Ahsoka is unnecessary. She is annoying and unnecessary on top of it. She is George Lucas' kid pigeon holed into the Star Wars universe. The less of her there is, generally the better the episode. A caveat to that is if Battle Droids are in any way a focus. It is painful to watch the keystone cop interchange. It was painful in Phantom Menace, and it's only gotten sillier as it has become solidified as a regular occurrence.

I do like the Clone Wars, even though I give em a hard time, I still tune in every week. It is better then having no Star Wars. If any other non Star Wars Fan says anything about the Cartoon, or The Prequels, I'm the 1st one to defend them. I think Though as Star Wars Fans we can at least amongst ourselves debate about what could have been, or perhaps what shouldn't have been without being told we are taking it too seriously. Some would argue that being on Bloo milk every day and playing with little plastic guys is taking it too seriously!! I would disagree

@trappedslider - You think by keeping Star Wars to only OT, it will last for 30++ years? I for one only accepted OT because I grew up with it. Only sometime after PT I have begin to accept that Ben is Obi Wan but remember the choice is yours alone young padawan. @qvos - "why so serious" is just a quote from The Joker. I would not have 961 out of 975 of these plastics if I'm not serious To sum it up ... Star Wars universe has grow so big that now you almost had a complete history including Old Republics and Expanded Universe. But I'll choose whatever I want (canon for me) . To stick with current topic, latest Clone Wars "the Citadel" shows you Captain Tarkin who does not respect Jedi General and don't even know Obiwan and Anakin? What a crap

Sounds like Tarkin to me. Remember, he acted as an equal, if not superior, to Vader.

I'm with you on the canon for me. It all changes anyway. What bugged me more than Captain Tarkin was the carbon freeze. It's become Star Wars symbolism now. A gimmick, if you will. In the upcoming MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic a carbon frozen human is seen inside a payer ship. In Star Wars galaxies, you could get a Gungan frozen in carbonite as a veteran reward. This was pretty funny though. When Darth Vader suggested using it, Lando balked. As if to say, that's just not done with sentient life. Vader decided to test it on Solo. Already the 'no-prize' crowd is lining up to hand wave this away. Oh, the Bespin chamber wasn't as good, they say, for instance. Jabba was so impressed with the unique gift that he displayed it as "his favorite decoration." It was a novelty, and now is becoming commonplace.

What a crap Tarkin just wasn't shy about asserting what strategy he thought was best, but he still respected the generals' decision of which strategy to use. He doesn't show much deference to Vader in the original movie, and even comes off in a few scenes as possibly even being a superior, if not equal. What little we've seen of him doesn't seem out of line with the movie, and even compliments it.

Remember that Han was the test subject, the intent was to use it on Luke. Vader didn't really care what condition Jabba got Han in, Fett wanted him alive as a condition of the bounty, but seeing as he survived the process, Fett didn't have much reason to let him out. It's very possible for the principles of carbon freezing to be understood, but the practice to be so morally questionable that it's just not done. There's plenty of modern medical and scientific research that it falls into such a category. And, in both instances it was Anakin/Vader who suggested using the method. At least for me, that made it's use a bit more forgivable, as it's easy to imagine someone reusing a technique they had some success with previously.

I'm a OT guy. I mean I started watching SW when I was like 4, and by the time I was 6 I had already read all the books from SW that were avaliable at that time. And then SE came out. It was great. So I began to explore this galaxy through books, comics and games. Good times.
I gotta say, that I hate EP1-3, but I liked the CW project (I mean the old one, between ep2 and 3). It all made sense, it had some problems but only a few i guess. It was ok.
But no. George then decided to screw us over. He doesn't care how much money I had spent on EU CW stuff. He become greedy so much that he redone clone wars in his own view. At the time when all the story to be told was basically told (only couple of moths left I guess). So I'm pissed like hell. I mean I know he's the Creator but WTH? He has sold rights to Lucasbooks and DarkHorse so that they could create books and comics under the title of SW. How the hell can he do things like that?
I'm watching TCW but only to see what they will screw up next. I know that Filoni doesn't care, but when they contradict their own stuff (the carbonite thing- in TCW comics they did indeed the same thing. and it was clearly before Citadel episode, look at Ashoka) it really gets me worried. My Clone Wars will always be with CW multimedia project, not with Ashoka, Satine, Rex, or TCW Maul and his kind. The sad thing is, that TCW could have been good with canon, just the right people were needed, and if they had used the right characters.
Peace out
