Its amazing what kind of a difference that makes. I usually have to play against myself or my brother (I consider you very lucky to have an active LGS) to play minis at all, and that's how I got good at the game. However, I learn several new things and run into game situations I've never been in before every time I travel to a tournament or get on Vassal.

Yeah I am glad that, even though Wizards is no longer producing models, the game hasnt died off. and now, EVEN MORE QUESTIONS lol

Does Captain Tarpals effect allow you to use Force Abilities that replaces attacks twice?

Are there any characters in the Fringe faction or Republic faction that give Cloaked or something similar?

Kind of, the force user would need to be able to spend force twice in a turn, and have the points to do so, other than that yes they can use two "replaces attacks" force powers.

Yeah I figured they would need Master of the Force 2 or higher and the points to pull it off.

Also, Niles Ferrier gives super stealth to defels in Fringe. Niles Ferrier is in Destiny of the Force (the first Vset).

I thought Momentum didn't activate until the War Droid stopped movement. Isn't that how Yobuck works? If not, I must be mixing up Momentum with some other benefit that only kicks in after movement ends.

You're confusing Momentum with some of the CEs that grant Momentum (Durge, General Skywalker, Warmaster Lah), as those CEs require movement to be completed before the character gains the ability.

Thanks - I never noticed that subtle distinction. Durge, GenSky, and Lah don't grant Momentum until movement ends. Mandalore and Exar Kun grant Momentum continuously.

OK so 2 more questions for you guys:

1) while using a Basilisk War Droid or any Strafing mini, do they cause attacks of opportunity when they leave enemy models squares?

2)While using Commander Gree's CE, as long as your within 6 (or using Mas Amedda for unlimited range) you can basically have an entire squad of different named characters use Squad Assault?

For the most part, no. All characters with Strafe Attack have Flight, which means they ignore characters and do not provoke attacks of opportunity. However, a character with Jedi Reflexes can make AoO against a character with flight. Also to note, the AoO would happen before the strafing character even enters the other figure's square (AoOs are resolved before moving the character to the next square).

Yes. Think of Gree's CE as granting an ability that makes all characters in range count as a character named Bob.

Best plain-English explanation yet. Laugh

Ok so after mulling this over I am a tad confused. With Mandalore the Indomitable and a Basilisk War Droid on the field, War Droid gets Momentum, which specifically states "If this character has moved this turn, he gets +4 Attack and +10 Damage against adjacent enemies". So how can I get the bonus for Momentum against an adjacent enemy when AoO dont work against me for entering and leaving an adjacent square?

The (strafe) attack happens just before entering the enemy's square, so you are adjacent at the time of attack.

As far as AoOs are concerned in this case, they don't happen because of the Basilisk's Flight ability.

Quote:
This character ignores enemy characters, low objects, difficult terrain, and pits when moving. Walls still block its movement, and it must still end its move in a legal space. Because this character ignores enemies, they cannot make attacks of opportunity against it.
