Remember, it says "end their move" within 6... so the hanglider would not get the bonus during its strafe attacks... only if you move him 6 and then attack, that final attack gets it. Also, I assume they said non-unique (I agree, a bummer) because they didn't want to overpower the unique epic ewok coming out in the jedi vs sith set.

What comes to my mind is Simon the Killer Ewok from Galactic Battlegrounds. That was just downright epic. He'd take down AT-AT's in a couple shots. Check out this link if you want to see Simon wipe the floor of Gungans: Simon the Killer EwokWhere's the Gungan commander now!

IIRK, walkers don't have that high of an attack rating so Momentum isn't going to make an uber combo. Unless Chewalker has Twin Attack. Hmmm...

Too bad Chewie didn't commandeer an AT-AT. Otherwise he'd be CHAT-AT.

I argued to get the bonus applicable for the Hang Glider but Boris did not cave. We were so close to make the Hang Glider useful, then I could use all 10 of my Ewok Hang Gliders for an amazingly crappy but uber-fun squad!

I Theorize lancers/kybuck was such a hard meta to break away from that the designers were likely hesitant before reinforcing strafe in any way. I can't imagine it would have been game breaking... And I would have been favor of it, but... it would have just been once more thing to shut down the ever unplayable trooper squads.
If we just keep supporting them, maybe next set we can get a hyper drive upgrade for the glider.
